Couldn’t find the corresponding thread on this topic, so I’ll try to summarize it from here.

The hypothesis is that Model A serves as a basis for representation of an overall lifecycle evolution of the human psyche, starting from the appearing of the structure of the human psyche and ending at its filling with specific information.

Specific individual is a model of informational metabolism type of the psyche filled with real, particular information. Personality and unique individuality of a human being is determined not simply by the model, but by model filled with real, actual information, which person gains throughout their life.

The following figure shows the structure of the conditionally complete model of informational metabolism of the psyche:

• Development occurs according to age stages (multiple of approximately seven years) through consistent filling psyche functions with information in the course of interaction with the outside world. The transition to the next block is determined by attaining the corresponding age and does not depend on the degree of filling of certain block with information. Filling psyche functions with information evolves depending on the nature of their interaction with the outside world and takes place in accordance with the information aspects, processed through each function. In the complete model of informational metabolism of the psyche it is demonstrated by transition from the superblock to the superblock, starting from the cellular level (Cital superblock) and ending at the level of higher consciousness (Supermental superblock)

• It’s important to note that progressing through stages doesn’t mean that type of information metabolism of the human psyche changes herewith. It simply means that the dominant element of interaction with the outside world is transferred to the new block, and person may be prone to identify with it more than with any other blocks at a particular stage of the psyche development.

• In cases of difficulty or prohibition (blocking) of the interaction with the outside world of some functions or blocks, the transition to the following level (the block, the superblock) nevertheless happens on reaching a certain age limit, and sections, that have remained unfilled have an effect on further human life by characteristic distortions of informational metabolism type of the psyche.

• It’s also important to add that regardless of the stage of psyche development of a person at a certain point, all other blocks interact with the world and are filled with information as well, but the dominant focus is shifted to the block of the corresponding stage.

Brief overview of blocks in Model A:
(more on Cital and Supermental superblocks can be found here)

Executive block 1 (Id) of the Vital superblock. Age 1-1.5 through 3-4 (approximately). Transition to the actual objective activity, formation of the so-called practical or sensorimotor intelligence. Position of the child at this age can be expressed through the standpoint - "I can".

Control block 1 (Super-Id) of the Vital superblock. Age 3-4 through 7-8 (approximately). In developmental psychology this period is sometimes referred to as the “three-years-old crisis”. This is the block of making decisions and activation of the psyche. Filling of blocks with individual experience and norms. Position of the child at this age can be expressed through the standpoint - "I want".

Vital superblock workout. Age 7-8 through 13-14 (approximately). Development of the Vital superblock in its entirety. Intensive acquisition of individual experience within the framework of the Vital superblock. Mental superblock is used too, but so as to say, involuntary, as the conditions may demand. During this period of psyche development individual remains self-centered in a sense that almost all interactions with the outside world is unconsciously narrowed down to his/her needs and desires (individual and “automatic” peculiarity of the Vital superblock).

Control block 2 (Super-ego) of the Mental superblock. Age 11-14 through 19-21 (approximately). Transition from Identity to Personality, from the block of individual life to the block of social life. Development of social attitude, social medium discovery. Level of the psyche development in this period can be expressed through the standpoint - "I have to/I must".

This block can be the source of many mistypings and confusions and the reason why many socionists don’t recommend being typed before at least 18. People tend to over-associate themselves with their Super-ego, that is also called the block of social adjustment, and sometimes get stuck in it up till 30 and even further, while Ego block remains unclaimed.

At later stages, when a person is supposed to be already at their Ego level, it’s pretty much common to mistype as Role+Creative, because vulnerable becomes more and more obvious and pronounced, but self-identification with Super-ego still remains strong.

Executive block 2 (Ego) of the Mental superblock. Age 19-21 through 28 (approximately). Development of intellectual maturity, active attempts at independent creativity, deepening of understanding of moral norms and attitudes, role and situational behavior, development of socio-temporal ideas of themselves as an adult, which leads to a more or less clear awareness of their functional purpose. Level of the psyche development in this period can be expressed through the standpoint - "I know".

Mental superblock workout. Age 28 through 42 (approximately). Development of the Mental superblock in its entirety. Development of social life of a person, activation of inclusion in the sphere of social production and realization of functional orientation, family-parental duties, increased desire for constructive solving of various life problems, and so on.

Type of informational metabolism of the psyche (Model A) workout.
Age 42 through 70 (approximately). In the norm implies development of human capabilities in the functional-aspect area as defined by the model of informational metabolism of the psyche. "In the norm" means - on the basis of a healthy body (**** somaticus) under normal, without distortions, conditions of psyche development (**** psychicus) at the previous stages. The decisive factor of the normal development of the psyche in adulthood is an active intellectual activity and interaction of the psyche with the outside world.

@To_august - Is there any accompanying text describing the "Superblock of higher consciousness" portion of the graphic?

Also, am I reading the cycles correctly? Has someone been found to have lived to 182?

Superblock of higher consciousness is the same as Supermental. It is a hypothetical block comprising period approximately from 70 through 180. A bit more info on it is over here.

That's correct. This is based on simple maths I think. Cycles supposed to be multiple of seven years (7-14-21-28-42-70 and so on).

I see. Okay, I think I understand.

For real: Does IQ affect this?

Why is a circle 7 years long?
I think it's an approximation as these cycles are connected with developmental psychology and loosely based on Erikson's stages of psychosocial development.

Psyche development and its periodization, according to Ermak's theory, are determined by filling of functions with information and this process exhibit both evolutionary and revolutionary characteristics. Evolutionary mental and behavioural changes happen relatively calmly in the course of superblocks workouts, while revolutionary changes are confined to developmental age crises (this is the trace of connection with developmental psychology), which occur on the cusp of transition from one block to another.

Thank you. I will look into the reserach of Erikson, then.

I'm gonna break it down further for people who are all "TLDR". *Cough @Entropic Cough* (Aka, no, it doesn't correspond to that, to answer your question)

So, basically, we go backwards through the Sociotype development. I'll give examples for ILE, since that's my type and I know it best.

Executive block 1 (Id) of the Vital superblock. Age 1-4 (approximately). Transition to the actual objective activity, formation of the so-called practical or sensorimotor intelligence. Position of the child at this age can be expressed through the standpoint - "I can".

For ILE, that's Ni and Te. Ignoring and Demonstrative.

Control block 1 (Super-Id) of the Vital superblock. Age 3-8 (approximately). In developmental psychology this period is sometimes referred to as the “three-years-old crisis”. This is the block of making decisions and activation of the psyche. Filling of blocks with individual experience and norms. Position of the child at this age can be expressed through the standpoint - "I want".

For ILE, that's Si and Fe. Dual-seeking and Mobilizing functions.

Vital superblock workout. Age 7-14 (approximately).

So, developing what's been built so far?

Control block 2 (Super-ego) of the Mental superblock. Age 11 through 21 (approximately. Give or take 3 or 4).

For ILE, that's Se Fi. Role function and vulnerable/PoLR function.

Executive block 2 (Ego) of the Mental superblock. Age 19-28 (approximately).

For ILE, that's Ne and Ti. Base and creative functions.

Yay, growth!

I don't know how meaningful or accurate this is, but I clearly remember that I began to develop Fi in my early teens as I have strong memories of situations where I felt Fi in a more conscious sense, for the first time. It wasn't until my early 20s that I began to feel confident enough to actually be able to assert myself in terms of Fi, though, and I have equally clear memories where I felt that I began to notice an ability to actually meaningfully empathize in ways I couldn't before.

That would correspond quite neatly with the model, then. Very interesting.

I would say it corresponds to me pretty well.

But, I was pretty Si - Fe in the years specified-- 3 - 8. I was Si-Fe-ing all over the frickin' place. I remember crying because my dad was selling our old boat to get a new, bigger one, when I was 4-- It was like this subjective attachment to everything, not wanting anything to change. I was much more stubborn.

Then it became more mature in the adolescent years, I suppose, or just messed up and then recalibrated.

I'd say at around 11 - 18 I was deep into Super Ego on top of that. I don't think I really started developing my Ego until I was 20 - 23.

The age ranges are pretty succinct, imo.

I don't know how accurate it is as well, but I see some credibility in it. Especially in terms of self-image, and how people perceive its change throughout age stages. Also in the light of this theory full super-ego mistypes, occurrence of which always seemed to me as being very strange, are a plausible possibility.

Anyway, here's my perspective and SLI outline would look like this:
Id (1-4 approximately) - Se Ti
Super-Id (3-8 approximately) - Ne Fi
Vital superblock workout (7-14 approximately)
Super-ego (11-14 through 19-21 approximately) - Ni Fe
Ego (19-21 through 28 approximately) - Si Te
Mental superblock workout (28 through 42 approximately)

Till the age of 7-8 I remember myself being pretty much resembling an immature SLE. I liked to order everybody around and was quite aggressive at times. Once, when I was 4 or 5 years old I vehemently punched my grandma in the face when some old man made an innocent friendly comment on cuteness and loveliness of her curly grandchild (how dare she allow this stranger to say such stupid words about me!). I never liked dolls and one day gave them extreme haircut (guess I was bored and wanted to make an experiment), but had more fun with driving nails, cutting boards and meccano.
I also liked physically-based exercises: playing ball, dancing, various outdoor activities. It was easy to gather people around and lead them in some new amusement. I wonder where did these useful skills evaporate now, lol.

I think super-ego influence was the most crucial at around 14-19. At this age I started to write an anfractuous psychological story about symbolic shadow world and also was very surprised people were saying that they perceive me as a serious, impervious and pokerfaced person. What on earth did they mean? I felt myself being sooo emotional and fun! That's when subjective self-identification with Super-ego evidently fell flat. I think ego presented itself no sooner than 23-24.

How do you people even remember yourself as kids, idk. All I can say pre-10 I was manipulative lil shit who hated to share of give up toys and books, and then came puberty and it's just ~MESS~, and then - woop, I am an adult.

@Word Dispenser do you know of any articles that talk about the motifs of the different types and their correspondent behavior(s)?
Humm, I don't put much stock and trade into behaviour as a typing mechanism, however... There are quadras, which tend to reflect similarities between the behaviours of those with the same cognitive functions in different orders.

Socionics Quadras

Is that what you mean? :kitteh:

At that same site, there are also descriptions of each type.

I am almost 26 so theoretically I should be developing ego by this time.

Then again, I'm not really a fan of this theory... seems rather random. I don't recall being that different as a young child compared to what I am now. Maybe ever so slightly more outgoing, before school-age years and being made fun of on a daily basis and all that associated crap, but that's just life. My parents described me as very insightful and much more mature than most children my age and that's about it.
