I was really curious about this branch since it seems like a branch that is more centered around rescue missions. Is there any "coasties" in here? It is something I've been toying with after getting out of college, I'm starting to feel like I need something different than sitting in front of a computer all day

Not me, does it count somewhat the same if i tried to join the military once as a "medic"?
I failed the psychology exam though, i was too introverted, and too aversed to the idea of hurting people or something like that. (i wanted the diploma, not so much the military stuff )

I was thinking of joining the canadian coast guard as an MCTS officer before I was accepted to university, it seems like a great job! I would say, 'Go for it!' if it really interests you.

My husband is in the Navy and has said the coasties he's run across are the most laid back of any people he's met in the armed services.
