I read it for a class. It was mildly interesting, but an extremely poor choice for a university-level reading assignment. That's the school's and teachers' fault, not the author's.

I'll add that the instructors of that class got me expelled from their school because they didn't feel sufficiently ass-kissed when reading my written reflection assignments, although I was certainly polite. It was a very touchy-feely program, and when I was expelled, I felt as though some nasty creature had spit me out of its mouth.

Anyway, the book was alright. I don't like graphic novels as a genre, but I recall some funny parts.

I agree. The dumbing-down of university curricula seems maybe worse than I thought it was.
