I noticed this section of the forum was filled with threads enquiring about mental health, but psychology is a very large field, and so I just wanted to make this general, what areas mainly interest you thread to see who likes to discuss what.

I'm quite interested in psychopathology, but general cognition is my primary interest. I'm only formally studying psychology at pre-university level, so I haven't had to the chance to see what areas particularly interest me from studying and experiencing a broad range at university.

If anyone has specialised in comparative psychology, how do you find that specialisation in particular for helping you understand the scope of human behaviour?

Neuroscience and biopsychology are most interesting to me. Abnormal behaviour, developmental psychology, counseling and trauma interest me as well. I like cognition and memory, but I haven't learned very much of it. Personality theories are okay and I didn't like delving into psychological research (especially statistics) but I was good at it. Social psychology is the least interesting to me (so far), but I don't consider it completely boring.
