This reminds me of how me, my sister, and our friends would sit in the jacuzzi at our apartment complex and then jump in the cold pool. We were weird kids.
that's not weird, i do that and if i do it it isn't weird

I used to do kayaking at uni in freezing cold waters- water that would knock the breath out of your lungs if you fell in, and we'd drive out, do the river which typically took 3-4 hours, and be in a cosy pub afterward. The comradery afterward was next level, I felt at the peak of my mental health, completely invincible.

I also grew up in Australia where we'd have this incredible surf where as a kid it felt so mentally stimulating, I honestly think that's a big part of why Australians are so laid back. Coming to the UK where we're in these insulated buildings, none of those types of experiences, it makes sense why people are so much more finnicky.

Once I started learning some of Win Hof's stuff this is what it reminded me of. Saunas are fantastic, cold showers are fantastic, doing both back to back makes you a force of nature.
