... Who self-harms? I know it's such a morbid topic, but I was just wondering, seeing as how we're extremely sensitive and feel emotions much more strongly than most. Plus, with the very limited supply of us wandering around the world... It's no wonder we feel very lonesome from time to time. :(

What do you think? Do you, or know any INFPs personally, who has/currently/are planning to self-harm?

I self-Harmed from the age of 12 to 17/18 I'm now twenty haven't relapsed in two years.
I feel so much more free than I even could imagine without the harming controlling every second of
my life. There are BAD days where I get an urge to do it and I have to fight it.
It's something I always struggle with and probably will my whole life, just like a drug-addiction
it's a serious addicition and no matter how long you go'sober' there is ALWAYS a chance of relapse.
It scares me. To be honest I cant even watch movies with cutting in it or really see rezors without
having that urge inside me.

When things would get bad, I would hit myself or literally bash my head against the wall...it's not something that I'm proud of. At the time, though, I didn't really know of any other way to express the turmoil that I felt inside...

I never have cut myself. I'm glad that I haven't, and I offer my sincerest comfort to those who do...

-edit-

I also have a rather bad habit of digging my fingernails into my skin, or scratching repeatedly at a certain spot on my arms and thighs. I usually lay off when they get so bad to where the skin gets raw, but it's more force of habit than anything anymore. :p

Yes, it's a form of release. Some people do drugs; Others have a lot of casual sex to fill in a hole. (No pun intended. Maybe.) XD

When I do it, it's like all the bad feelings go away in one sweeping motion.

D'aww hun, I'm so sorry to hear about that. I remember doing the whole scratching and biting myself as well as pulling my hair. I heard about cutting when I was in middle school, almost got close to cutting in 9th grade, and then finally my senior year I started.

I hope you feel better soon!

1. [email protected] "fill in a hole" ;D

2. I'm happy to report that I haven't hit myself in a while! I'm much happier than I have been. I still do the scratching thing, but it's more of a nasty habit now...like biting my nails.

Thank you for the concern! :)

I self-harmed occasionally from 16 to 18, then at 18 it got pretty bad. from 20-21 I stopped completely, and then I started up again. It's now been about 2 or 3 months since I've done it. I mainly cut, though I burned occasionally.

Back in 2007 when I was at the lowest point of my life, I did, but I merely only scratched myself at times. I still feel terrible from time to time, but I don't do that anymore. I live an emotional roller coaster and its no fun. Long story why though.

Actually I've used razors to carve into my skin for years lol tho have not done it in over a year.
It was a sexual/"pleasure" thing
And I can't wear anything above my right leg's knee lol
About the sexual part... I've never saw me cutting myself for the sexual release. :O This is new!
However, in bed, I make sure that my partner knows that he needs to call me his bitch/slut/whore and to remember to spank me and scratch me when he's doing me.

Yes, I am shameless.
