Well, the "favorite television show" series of threads weren't that successful; maybe this topic shall be.
Ricky Nelson? Elvis Presley? The Beatles? The Turtles? KISS?
Oh so many to chose from...

I listened to Elton John. And as a kid I loved the Monkees, both the group and the TV show.

Dalien, you have quite a memory. I forgot about most of those groups.

And there was the Mamas and the Papas. beach boys, and for TV Tony Orlando and Dawn, Sonny and Cher

The Beatles.
The very first album (vinyl record) I ever bought was Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
I kind of outgrew the Beatles by the time I was in High School.

As a youngster, my favorite music group was ABBA, even now I listen to their wonderful songs. I cannot help going nostalgic. Do you agree they are great?

Had to be the Monkees, first of all. They are on their 45 year reunion this year. Peter Tork apparently overcame a rare neck cancer of some kind. Easybeats, Stones, Crazy World of Arthur Brown (Fire!), Small Faces, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Hollies, Van Morrison, Buffalo Springfield, Love, were among just a few of the bands that were early on. I kinda feel sorry for kids today...gaga, bieber, eechchhh.

Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Shakin Stevens, The Bee Gees and many others but can't think of them all. I even liked some country western singers like Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton and Waylon Jennings.
