"i never had complete ownership of my mind. I was too busy trying to be a serous person"......so true, i spent 30 years trying to be someone i wasnt. now in the wake of all the disaster (i myself helped create) i'm trying to discover "me"....it's quite freeing. but i think at one point in my life i went the other extreme in ridiculousness and it was equally disasterous......where's the balance?

How can I not care about what others think? Seems impossible...

I like the idea, but not sure if I could pull it off myself. As for dreading Mondays, I just dread work.

I think many still care about what others think--I mean, they may make an effort to entertain or to enlighten. But they put more of themselves into their work than just following a prescribed path of others. Compliance isn't the same thing as "caring" what others think.

But it does seem daunting. I like the article though.
