Hello everyone,

Yesterday I posted a request for feedback from members of the ESFJ Forum about profiles that have been developed for this Type. I am very grateful for the responses I received. I made a similar request to the other 15 Forum members as well and intend to do the same with this posting.

I recently published the ESFJ profile that I have developed over the years and am hoping that I can publish the next version of this profile with the direct help of ESFJs themselves. While I have attempted to put this profile together in the language of ESFJs, I must admit that this is not my own MBTI type and, therefore, I am quite sure that I have not met the mark.

Here’s what I am looking for specifically. I would like to identify two individuals to help me. The first would be a layperson who has validated that they are indeed a very strongly identifiable ESFJ who is willing to read the profile in depth and to suggest ways that it can be edited to reflect the true language of the ESFJ. The second individual would be an ESFJ counseling professional who would look at the profile from a clinical perspective. This is the perspective that led me to the MBTI in the first place. I am convinced that clinicians must be aware of the subtle way that each of the MBTI types can best achieve the highest level of mental health for themselves. I have little to offer these two individuals at this point, except formal written credit for the valuable input that they will provide, as well as access to all sixteen of the profiles I just published. Depending upon how successful the publication of these profiles goes, I hope to also offer monetary compensation as well at some point. I know this isn’t much to go on, but I am hoping that there are at least a few folks in this discussion group who are still reading this request and who would like to contribute to our collective understanding of the ESFJ.

If it would help to look at some of my work, you can access my website at https://www.mythinkingstyle.com/

If you are interested in either of these positions on behalf of other ESFJs, please email me at [email protected]

Thank you for your consideration,

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the post! I couldn't get your website to work. Do you have a different link? I'm always interested in helping people understand ESFJs better so if there's any questions you have or if you'd like me to read over the description you wrote, I'd be more than happy. That's great you're doing research on this and trying to help people understand each other better. And yes, I think it's always interesting to hear the nuance differences of all these personality types.

Hi SummerRoads,

Thank you for your willingness to help. I will get back to you in a week or two after there has been plenty of opportunity for others to respond.

I tried the link in my post and it worked for me. Try copying the following into your browser and see if it works for you - any feedback you have on the website would be appreciated.

Hey Nathan,

Nice to hear from you. I tried in 2 different browsers and get error messages saying it can't connect because it says Safari or Firefox can't establish a secure connection to your server. Have you tried getting on your website from a computer that isn't your own? Here's one of the error codes:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.mythinkingstyle.com. Peer reports it experienced an internal error. Error code: SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Thank you SummerRoads for letting me know your experience - I will contact my web host and see if they can fix the problem. I tried the URL on my phone just now and it worked. Will let you know what I find out.

Best,

Nathan

FYI the website loaded just fine for me right now. SSL is a security certificate, @SummerRoads , it sounds like your browser is blocking it, which may be something you can adjust in your settings?

The only issue with the website I see so far in a cursory glance @nchurch is that there seems to be a fit problem. The text runs right off the screen on the right side without a scroll over bar so some of it is missing. As well, the header has an issue with the title overlapping / obscuring the left side of the navigation bar.

Hi again SummerRoads,

My web host says that my website is safe and secured by SSL. They noted that i
t looks like your computer antivirus is not allowing access to the website in the browser, They suggest turning off the antivirus on your computer and then try to access the website.

You can use the following link to reassure yourself that there is no risk of malware in my website:

Ah, got it! Thank guys...I am so not a computer person. lol :)

The text "What is your Thinking Style" on the top left runs over the "Home" link. I can fix it by expanding my window as far as I can but when I use it the normal size it overlaps. The "Products and Services" page is a little hard to read with the white text on the light gray background. Having more contrast there would be helpful. Also, ithe varying sizes of your font on a single page are a bit confusing. On the "Thinking Style Products" page the font is very small and hard to read...maybe that's just my computer again but the other links to Home and Contact are larger font sizes. I get the products page has a lot to list but if you're trying to sell the product, I would think you'd want that font size to be the largest and easiest to read, you know?

Nathan

Thank you so much,

Maybe this is very ESFJ... but I hope your research is going well @nchurch! Your post has totally made it on my "to-do" list of thoughts. Haha! Just checking in and wanted to wish you all the best with your project!
