Do you have it too?

Just keep trying.... Yes I have it too. Gets better through the years. If you work on it.
I have so many unfinished pieces of music and whatever little projects I've worked on. But that's something I'm REALLY pushing myself to get better with.
I know right, it's very annoying

Ha ha ha .....
Yes, it causes me a lot of problems at work. I have learned to handle it somehow but I hate this phase of a project, it is very painful, especially when I have already started other new projects which are at the most exciting phase- at the beginning
Tell me about it. I'm a writer - don't even get me started on all the novels I never finished writing. My best friends have already gotten tired of reading first chapters that never get a follow-up. They've learned not to spend too much time or enthusiasm on any of my projects that I haven't written more than three chapters of. As for hw and tests, I force myself.

I recognize this... That is why I write short stories....
I start many things at the same time, nothing probably ever gets finished. I do however learned that I tend to go back to the unfinished projects from time to time and sometimes they work but are not finished. I keep perfecting my creations as they come, so in essence I am never finished..........

That is why I take smaller contracts and I am focused on interior design rather than on "proper" architecture, because the cycle is faster and finishing not so painful... And that is why I will never have great achievements, though I am sure I have capability of it.

Oh yeah....I don't even TRY to write those huge monumental novels. Short stories and "essays" for me! Plus, they make good performance material if you're into stand-up comedy or other such arts.

I'm 127 words into a very unfinished blog post, and I'm hanging out here rather than trying to finish it now.
Yeah I pretty much do it too. I'm usually very connected to my creative work so I typically will stop actually working on something but in my mind i'll try to figure out ways to push it forward or make it better and eventually after months and months i'll go back to it and change it all over again. As far as music goes i've never really finished a song and often go on to writing the next one but I see it as a good thing since it helps me improve my skills. The day I go back to that first song it'll be far better than if I had finished it right then and there.

I'd imagine if you were in a position where you were forced to finish something you'd come through.

Yep. A good way to force myself to finish something is to have someone trust me to do it. Someone I feel loyal to, either through work ethics or in other way. Then I follow through admirably, and at times, quite genial work is produced this way. If I "promise myself" to do stuff.... Well, I am not very loyal to myself it seems..:)
