I've a friend who tested ISFJ online, but I'm fairly certain he's ESTP.

He is, however, cautious, idealistic, and by his own testimony "introverted and emotional".

He seems an archetypal thinker to anyone else though, very logic driven, however he's also very cautious and calculating and the seeming lack of impulsiveness is a problem with the ESTP diagnosis, so I'd like to know more about ESTP caution as well. Although once he feels safe he displays a lot of thoughtlessness, and does like to chase unimpactful whims. He gives an appearance of idealism in conversation and occasional social demonstrations but I suspect his moral nature is more utility driven than principle driven. He has a confused sense of self and I think a heavy moral presence is part of the persona he pursues, but I've seen his morality be displaced by enthusiasm or just vanish in the presence of distraction. It is undeniably there, and he cares deeply about the people close to him and definitely acts on that, I'd just say he's morally distractible.

The strength of his Ti and the awkwardness of his Fe almost made me think he was INTP but he fares poorly with philosophical thought. Deeply appreciates science, is really into Cosmology. idk, what do y'all think

He generally found socializing and messing around with people? If not, I assume isfj is accurate then. For caution purposes, I don't ever gamble with something I can't afford to lose.

I consider myself sorta like that, I think enny 6 can be like all of those things regardless of type

The lack of impulsiveness is usually just making sure there are contingency plans in place for when something will have inevitably gone pear shaped. Probably normal for thinkers.

those are traits that could be shaped by cultural. until a couple years ago i was much more gregarious than I am now. these days i feel more introverted and constantly thinking about stuff.

@nablur same when I hit my 20s. Teenage years my Se-Ti was constantly firing. Could nail jokes like they were 3 point jump shots. Now it's every so often. It's like stage one is Se-Ti, then Ti and enviably Ni.
