I decided in another thread it goes as follows (from my years of experience as a dancer):

STP Wimmenz ~ Amazing stage dancing and/or pole technique (Ti), or displays of raw sexuality (Se) on stage that aren't exactly sensual. May not enjoy giving lap dances. Makes up for what they lack in "feel" with technique (Ti) or highlighting physical features (Se). Make a lot of money on stage.

SFP Wimmenz ~ The most sensual dancers (Se/Fi), make a lot of eye contact and facial expressions at the customers, grab customers, stare into their eyes, make a lot of money from lap dances (Se); can only dance to a certain kind of music because they have to be able to "feel" the music and project from their genuine sensuality (Fi).

SFJ Wimmenz ~ Very high maintenance. The best dresses and false nails, perhaps even weaves in some cases. Make lots of money off of "regulars." Have enormous patience to sit with a few customers and "bond" with them Fe style over the course of the night. Would rather make their money through familiar customers (Si) via Fe manipulation rather than raw sexuality and techinique like the STP or the wild sensual abandon of the SFP.

Any ideas on what other types might be like as dancers? I think honestly that most professional exotic dancers who make something of a career out of it are one of the six types I just listed.

Please note that the girls who do actual sex acts in strip clubs are typed as SLUT and/or DRGS and we should refrain from assigning this tendency toward street hooking from any particular MBTI type.

I don't know one damn thing about this.
But I have wondered before if I could pull off
being a stripper (even though it's not something
I want to do at all.) I think about everything.

I concluded that in order to be a good one I would
probably have to adopt a stage persona, because
my natural dancing (which is a mixture of convulsions
and the Charleston) and personality (which is like 'don't
#$%$ing touch me') is probably not mainstream attractive.
(and that's giving it some credit).

When I thought it out, I decided I would most likely adopt
a cartoony, super feminine and bubbly persona (I guess a
bit like Betty Boop)- so I'd probably end up looking pretty
ESFP, anyway.

Strangely enough, this is very similar to the persona I adopted
when I was a rock musician, too. It is easy for me to do
caricatures, esp. that one- because I get the feeling that's
what the world has wanted me to be all along. As if I've
been 'in training' for it for so long, I know all the right
moves.

When I was a musician, though, I adopted it
because I got a kick out of the silly irony. But the fans
thought that was who I actually WAS, I think.

I actually didn't care for grabbing customers when I was dancing, but the rest is spot on :). My earnings varied a lot, though, because as an extreme introvert I wasn't very outgoing/aggressive/pushy for dances, and therefore found it kind of difficult to compete with the more cut-throat kind of girls :|

Though there were some who would buy more than one dance from me in a night.

Oh, also, I'll say it now before somebody comes in and make ignorant, judgmental comments about women who used to work or are working as strippers/lapdancers:

STRIPPERS != PROSTITUTES

I know most people on this site probably knows better, but I've met some blistering idiocy in the past about this which infuriates me to no end, and that's made me very reluctant to share this, even though I'm not embarrassed about it.

Strippers don't always do drugs/offer sexual services in clubs or after their shifts. I say 'don't always' because I've only ever worked in one club and where I worked has a VERY strict policy against drugs and the girls meeting patrons outside of the club or giving their phone numbers to patrons. In fact, patrons aren't even allowed to touch us and there was security officers in every room watching over us to make sure that this doesn't happen. I don't know if other clubs are like this, though.

I've had this one guy making all these presumptions about me because I told him I used to work as a lapdancer. He thought that I was this wild, rampant person living a life of unbridled debauchery, including had sex with patrons and did drugs in the club, or some shit just because of that. He pushed for me to do lapdances for him via Skype, to which I consistently declined, and then he argued, 'but you used to work as a lapdancer!', which leads to the point I'd like to make: PEOPLE ARE NOT THEIR PROFESSIONS. Yes I told him that too, and I told him that no i don't lead a 'wild' life, I rarely go out and I lap danced because I was young and pretty enough to do so (I'd like to believe I still am), and I liked the ratio of money to effort. But he's too busy disbelieving me because it's so contrary to what he's 'seen on TV' *rolls eyes*.

I was considering being a stripper (still sort of am after college) but it highly depends on where I am. If I'm stuck in this dump, there's no possible way. In a city, though, there's much more variety that's accepted (I would assume) with dancing, and not having every single night either be schoolgirl night, military night, or biker night. Creative...

I do have the assets, though, and most certainly know how to show them off. ;)

or if they did it would probably be in a bookstore or a coffee shop.

Hey starbucks, I got an idea.
I do need a job and I do love coffee and leather.
Call me if it leads to anything.

I relate to this too. I could see myself doing the "cutesy sexy" thing as a character. I'd also try to get to know the clients a bit on a personal basis. I'd probably feel connected to some of them (not necessarily romantically speaking, but I tend to like to know people beyond the surface and feel connections with certain people).

Apparently N's don't strip. lol
I can say for certain, some do. I got to know a lot of the ladies when I was a cocktail waitress. I will say that there were more nxj than nxp in the clubs I knew - but I can think of examples of each off the top of my head.

I think that those who would assume only S women do this are stereotyping.

You were a dancer? It's always the seemingly innocent ones isn't it?

I didn't grab them as in...grab their private parts. I mean like pull them by their tie or the collar of their shirt, or physically encourage them in some way, like grabbing their hand, leaning on them, that sort of thing.

I really am starting to wonder if I'm an Se dom. I could be pretty aggressive about lap dances, especially once I got confident that I knew what I was doing.
