Bootcut jeans were in fashion during the late 1990s and 2000s, and I much prefer the way they look, at least on me, to the skinny jeans which have been popular for the last decade. At the same time, I've worn them to school/college before and have been one of the only guys wearing them, and I don't see them very often in stores anymore - my local Levi's is (when open in normal times) saturated with skinny jeans and very little else. This makes me ask if any other young people still wear them in preference to skinny jeans? I have muscular thighs and so skinny jeans are too tight, plus on top of that they don't look good on me.

I'm not sure what you mean...Skinny jeans are supposed to be tight regardless of how muscular one's thighs are.

I don't remember bootcut jeans ever being very popular. Maybe manufacturers just kind of phased them out.

I prefer very skinny jeans, but I also want to open up myself to different cuts in the future.
But fashion trends always go in circle, so wait a few years and bootcut jeans sure will be back! Until then maybe you can shop on the internet. Everything is on the internet.

Regarding the skinny jeans: some are simply uncomfortable and feel restricting and too tight, but there are really nice ones with a lot of stretch and those are very comfy to wear! I think that's a reason for their popularity, they are incredibly comfy. Sometimes new skinny jeans are also still stiff, but after some wearing they get softer.
But sure, you need the body for them. You need to be thin to average or be a muscular guy. If you are a bit overweight it can look a bit odd in my experience, but even then I think it's still fine as long as someone feels comfy.

Brand: "Diesel"
Label: "Safado"
Fit: "Straight"

It's the only jeans I've found that looks like something a human would wear.

Now that I googled Safado I can't help but laugh at the mixture of urbandictionary and porn.
