Hello, as many I am still unsure of my type and I was wondering if you fellow INTP's could help me out. I guess I am asking because at one point I had gotten an ISTP and also INTJ.

Anyway, from the time I was a little girl I guess I was always the odd one out from everyone else. I had an extremely vivid imagination and was a pretty good liar. I was very quiet on the surface, while on the inside living in my own head. I often had extreme gut feelings about others and I adored poetry and sitting in my room reading inbetween the lines and trying to find the deeper meaning.

Throughout my childhood I always questioned God and began researching and buying as many books as possible to educate myself on the meanings of exsistence and God. I guess you could say at the age of 17 I still continue my quest. I ALWAYS read up on anything I am intrested in until I feel I have conquered all the knowledge I can and then I move on. The only thing is though I am horrible at math and science I only seem to excel in english for the pure reason I find lit amazingly fascinating. I figure books have taught me more than school ever has.

So, are any of you INTP's like this? Do I sound like I fit this type? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Are you sure you're good at English?

YOU
1. Vivid Imagination.
2. Intrested in English.
3. Good liar.
4. Don't believe in God.
5. Bad at math and science.
6. Likes Books

ME
1. Rigid and narrow thought. Absolutely no imagination.
2. Despise English. Writers are so pretentious. I prefer the oral tradition.
3. I always tell the truth. I'm incapable of dropping a nugget of bullshit to anybody.
4. I talk to God everyday. Jesus is my lord and savior.
5. I'm an engineer.
6. Like I said before, books are pretentious and generally find people who read elitist.

You must not be an INTP if I am. And for the love of Jesus, for your sake I hope you're not.

The whole thing just sounds so like the trolling we always get here.

For whatever reason, we get topical trolls here. They show up talking in broken bot-lish about topics that have come up in recent threads, trying to bait people into giving them personal information.

Recently we've had some poetry threads and a religion thread, hence, topical troll is topical.

The "I enjoyed lying as a child" thing was a nice touch, I must admit.

Apparently, the majority of INTP types that populate this forum are depressed and misanthropic. If you fit that pattern, you might just indeed be an INTP.

You're probably better off identifying as INTJ. They seem to have less fucks to give and tend to appear less miserable, at least on internet forums. You will think you are cooler, more decisive, and more ambitious.

This is somewhat sarcastic, but now that I think about it, I'd give myself the same advice if I can write messages to the past. Although I wouldn't believe myself... hmm...

I can't be too sure of your type, you answers are not vast enough to be able to tell fully.

if you are not hurt by what has been said, and feel like you want to join in, then u might be INTP, But i would think you are INTP or INTJ

You will get better luck in a different section of the forum, maybe the introducions side, they more friendly and welcoming aswell

The things you have described are mostly interests and not necessarily characteristics of your personality.

I suggest further researching the personality functions to conclude those that fit you best.

ME
1-Pretty good imagination, if I do say so myself.
2-More interested in science, but I don't find English to be that bad (social is much, much worse).
3-Ya, I always tell the truth too.
4-Don't believe in God (no proof, no reason to). Also, she didn't say that she doesn't believe in God, she just questions God's existence...
5-Again, I love science. For math, though, it depends.
6-As long as they are of interest to me, I like books. Also, you must read (downsowf) because you read her post and you replied. Does that not put you in the same group as the "elitist" people who read?

I was on full unserious mode with my post.

Just a warning to anybody else who feels compelled to analyze my post: it will be a waste to expend your time in such a fruitless venture. But for the record, Jesus is still my lord and savior.
