Then you also believe in a definition of fate.

Now, what are you really asking?

Well do you?
we make our own fate.
the fact that istj's and enfp's are attracted to eachother dosn't make my last relationship fate, it was just convenience. so i guess i believe in convenience.

Fate: that which is inevitably predetermined; destiny: Death is our ineluctable fate.

The concept of fate is conceivable in our minds.

It is greater to exist in reality, than to exist just as an idea in our minds.

Therefore, the concept of fate which exists in our minds also exists in reality.

I don't believe in fate. I prefer to see it as either probability or causality, because then I can control/influence the outcome of an event to some degree.

Destiny: the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events.

Looks a lot like the definition of Fate that I already listed.

Odd, I always thought that believing in destiny meant that you believed in the natural order of particular events and not just a singular event. I associate fate with an inevitability, which would be that death is inescapable. That is a single event, not a "chain reaction".
