Every time I've taken an IQ test, I score between 125 and 135, so I'm pretty confident that my IQ, as measured by these tests, is 130. However, I'm not certain what that even really means at this point in time.
I'm not very impressed with the Mensa institute to begin with for personal reasons that has nothing to do with their tests and measures. Second, I don't like to take something which has been developed (and expanded upon and refined) to measure intelligence a certain way as an accurate measure of my default state.
In other words, I might be able to perform high on the test (130), but otherwise, I might not actually apply all that intelligence in day-to-day activities. So, I see IQ as potential, but not exactly actual.
Also, I can be incredibly smart in pattern recognition or with math problems but completely ignorant in matters of human interaction.
So, to answer the question: IQ tests are interesting to me in that they attempt to measure human capacity and I'm interested in how it works and why it works. I think it can be fun to find one's IQ. However, anything past that I try not to take too seriously. After all, I think it's also important (for me at least) to know my weaknesses rather than my strengths at this point in my life. My weaknesses impact me more and are opportunities for growth.
