I am struggling to figure out my sociotype. My type me thread has effectively hit a dead end. The functions are not only different in Soionics but the placement of functions differ from MBTI types. I know that I am an INFJ = Ni-Fe-Ti-Se but in Socionics; this is much less clear. You have many more variables to consider such as the Reinin Dichotomies to factor in. I relate the most to IEI but it has been suggested to me that my posting style is "static" and IEIs are "dynamic". This doesn't necessarily convince me of anything because, to ascertain whether or not I am a "static" as opposed to a "dynamic" solely on the use of language utilized in my posts as opposed to more relaxed, personal communication form like say, PMs, emails, IMs, and even phone call; may well be "dynamic" and I need to learn and understand the other dichotomies as well.

I am not asking anyone to type me in this thread. If anyone has the even slightest interest; I will be more than happy to provide the link. What I am asking is, how INFJs determined and on what basis, their sociotype? I am thinking that, hearing how others; particularly INFJs arrived at their sociotype; might provide the added insight to prevent me from continuing, going around in circles. If you typed as anything other than an IEI or are an E type 5; that would be especially helpful, both in obtaining your insights; as well as comparing and contrasting the varying use of language.

I did the Socionics test and I received various results: EII, IEI, EIE. Sometimes I had lots of trouble to answer the questions, because I felt like I wanted to say "yes" to both sides. But looking at the descriptions of the types I can relate most to IEI, especially when it comes to Ni. Whereas looking at the description of EII, I saw almost everything which is described as one of their strengths is something I'm lacking. I don't feel like I'm capable of "sizing up" people. But I'm extremely creative and have an urge to express myself in various forms: drawing, composing songs, writing novels.

My issue seems to be that I am an E5 INFJ who, based in part on the responses I got; pretty much oozes Fe and Ti; so I relate far more to IEE than to EII but I know that I am such a strong introvert and on top of that I watched some YouTube videos and am convinced that my communication style is the same as an INFJ but the question is does this necessarily translate to Socionics IEI?

Anyway, thanks for your insightful response. It has given me something to think about

Yes, based on the functions IEI and INFJ are the same. EII would be INFP and IEE would be an ENFP.
I just don't understand how the test works. There is this one test in which you get photos of people and you have to push the slider to the person you like more. I think this exercise is stupid and I don't know what kind of influence it has on my test. Looking at the descriptions of types and functions, I'm sure I'm an IEI.
