A cross between save and change for me. I don't like the classical idea of saving or changing the worlf in the form of a revolution as I don't know if I could properly implement my ideas on a large scale without it backfiring big time. I believe a backfiring in these sorts of situations have large numbers of people just wanting to live their lives being unpleasantly caught in the middle of it all. There's also the issue of it becoming nothing but a big ego display on my part, "Hey look at me, aren't I cool? I saved the world!" I believe the world needs to save itself, if I was to find a way to save anything, I guess it would have to be more of a guide or adviser of sorts, doing my part to help guide the world away from turmoil (without me becoming delusional or generating a god complex!) If the MBTI is true then the personality types aren't going anywhere anytime soon and thus as an extension neither are the different types of people, which from the various personality type perspectives being "deadbeats/fascists/assholes/criminals/pigs/terrorists" etc. In the end, the rifts and wounds between the types need to heal and everyone needs to find a way around or through their differences, no one person or small group can do that. I think its the same for everything. I don't think I really know what war, peace, life, death etc. mean to me but I think everyone in the world needs to stop, think and come to their own conclusions about these matters entirely from their own points of view, I think it will at least produce some interesting results. So in that, I haven't actually saved anything at all, just sat back and chose the lazy option.
roud:
I'm also tempted to say change/affect as small deeds can eventually create larger consequences. But I didn't because my idealism is ultimately in the "save the world" category.
