Which ego defense mechanisms do you think you use most often?
DEFENSE MECHANISMS

Someone recently (and unjustly) accused me of using projective identification, however they did so without knowing the full story behind my assertions.

So, what sort of ego defense mechanisms do you think you use the most?
(and come on, we've all used them at some point or another)

Autistic Fantasy is always a good one.

Denial is a personal favorite.

Ooh, I like devaluation.

Dissociation: C'mon, I'm in law. What do you expect?

Humor is probably my biggest defense mechanism. And besides, I'm fucking hilarious.

Rationalization.

I could probably go down the list to be quite honest.

Deflection
Devaluation
Dissociation
Humor (Oh .... Oh, just so much Humor)
Help-Rejecting Complaining
Idealization
Identification
Intellectualization

Undoing (usually after arguments and awkward situations but I hate doing it)

.....such a long list, damn.
I want to narrow this down! I'll get back to it... eventually.

PS:
I'm surprised that wasn't on the list!! And if it was... WOW I missed it.
