[ENFP] Leadership?

My best friend is an Enfj. I really admire him so much. I have been friends with him for many years. We are in a band together, he has displayed strong character and leadership throughout the years. he is in charge of the band.
He has been able to keep it together throughout many band members leaving. But recently he told me I should be the leader, but I'm a bit confused by this, enfj's are the leaders out of the diplomats. As an Enfp what would make me a good leader?

leadership doesn't have to do with your type, but your skills. are you a skilled leader, like your friend believes? then he might be on to something. although we tend to be our own worst critics. might wanna ask him why he thinks this, give you specific reasons/ examples.
