Enneagram 7 ENFP and risky comments

I've noticed that a lot of enneagram 7 ENFP's say a lot of audacious comments. So if you are an Enneagram 7 ENFP, I'd like you to answer some questions for me...

  1. Do you say a lot of risky/audacious comments?
  2. Give some examples of your comments.
  3. What are people's reactions to your comments.
For me, I am an enneagram 7 ENFP, and I say very audacious comments. Here are some examples....

Me: So tell me about yourself.
Girl: I am a virgin, and wear this promise ring to symbolize the fact that I"m going to be celebate until marriage.
Me: Oh yeah?
Girl: That's right.
Me: I'm a born again virgin.
Girl: Reallly? That's great, you have made a vow of celebacy as well?
Me: No, I'm just broke with no car and no job and not getting laid.
Girl: That's horrible, you are a terrible person.
Me: No, I just believe you need to test drive a car before you buy it.

This woman was horrified by my comments, and told me that I was probably going to burn in hell.

Another conversation with another woman went like this:

Girl: Hey you have red hair right?
Me: Yeah, so what?
Girl: So do you have red hair all over, or is it black, or blonde, or whatever?
Me: Oh, it's red. Making love to me is like making love to Elmo. You'll love it baby.

This woman actually loved my comments and laughed her ass off.

**Note: If you have already posted some of your comments keep posting more. I'm going to try to make this thread as fun and amusing as possible.**

Naturally we are bad as ISTJs at expressing ourselves XD .

I was really struggling with expressing and picking what to say, then I tried hard to develop my Fe. And it is getting better, I also try to be under control.

You need to develop your Fe and be diplomatic, its important especially when it comes on business level.

So you must be an enneagram 2 enfp or a 9? I'm constantly being told by people to be more diplomatic, but that's not my style

Why stop making the risky comments? If those uptight SJs don't like it then they can go fuck themselves. There are going to be ballsy, audacious, and rulebreaking people in the world. Not everyone's gonna be a go by-the-book, by-the-rules person. In fact, there is great fun and excitement that comes from breaking rules.

However, as Electrical flOw stated, it is good to develop one's diplomatic skills for business situations and moments of great importance.

Discretion and diplomacy are fine, but at some point it's just a heavy, heavy burden to have to use a huge verbal filter. People should be able to take things lol
I am a overemotional caring nice and stuffz person.
So no.

(lol boring answer)

I'm typically extremely diplomatic when I'm talking with friends, especially in text. My style of writing is completely different from my style of speaking, however, I'm still typically pretty diplomatic regularly. I'm still always fun and love to crack jokes, but I do use a verbal filter. I've been using it for so long that it's almost become second nature to me.

I do it simply because I absolutely hate, hate hate, HATE, HATE when I say something and my opinion is misinterpreted. Being diplomatic in my writing and speaking eliminates that possibility very effectively.
I try to be as kind as possible, but if someone rubs me the wrong way, the filter comes off and they get my full, uncensored opinion, which is often quite vulgar and harsh.

As for "risky comments", I do do that sometimes, even with my closest friends. I can usually rely on my friends to take it well, anyway. :p

I already had clashes, fights and embarrassing moments, why I don't change myself? because the theory said so?

Even the worst ones I know,he is an ENTP. He switch from being an asshole into the polite diplomatic in 2 min XD.

If you were in business you will meet a lot of misinterpretation suckers, so I think it is important to develop it.

No way in hell, you went all the way from ISTJ to ENFP. People say that you can't change your type. Now if you told me that you went from maybe INFP to ENFP, I might believe it. However, what this is saying is basically that you completely rewired your brain altogether. I am not buying it.

Yeah, I know. That's why I changed my degree. You have to be very careful what you say in business. I tend to question things in life, and if I worried about everything people said, then I'd be popping pills like M & M's.

.

I've been INFP, ISTP, ISFP, and now I'm tossing around ENFP...is that bad?

Oh, and BTW, maybe it's my seven wing (or maybe i dont really know my enneagram) but I tend to make risky comments.

Actual convo:

(Friend 2 has a baby due in November)

Friend1: Help me take this apart
Me: What about that bolt?
Friend 1: Oh, I forgot to pull it out
Me: Bahahaha, so did [friend 2], sucks to be you!!!
Friend 2: Oh god...

That's just general dark humor. Enjoying dark humor doesn't really point to any specific type, except maybe it means you're more likely a P-type than a J-type.

Yes, that's absolutely bonkers to believe that you changed your type like 3 or 4 times. Well, it sounds like you may be a counter-phobic 6. They can say audacious comments as well. Just look at Mel Gibson

i just love shocking uptight people. i live for it. the look of surprise on their faces makes getting up in the morning worthwhile. alot of the time i say things that really weren't meant to be shocking and it really bugs me when people are going around telling everyone what a shocking comment i made. one instance that pops into my head was at my nans funeral we all had to walk over other graves to get to hers and my esfj sister was freaking out feeling all guilty so to make her feel better i said " ah i'm sure they wont mind" she made a big deal out of it later to all the relatives saying how blunt i can be sometimes. WTF!! god help her if she ever meets anyone who actually is blunt!

Hahaha, my INFJ dad hates when I do/say stuff like this. I've noticed quite a few xxFJ's don't like vulgarity or bluntness in any way...have any of you noticed this?

well i was just saying in the istp forum that me and my infj daughter are always saying horrible things to each other but it's all in fun. i suppose i have helped shape her so she's not going to be an easily offended infj with me as her mam. she begged me when she was younger to be allowed to say curse words and i said "well in certain circumstances i guess it's ok" but then she took it to a whole other level and it was I who got offended in the end by hearing these words coming out of her innocent little face. live and learn i suppose!

I don't know about INFJ's but I know a lot of ENFJ's hate vulgarity and bluntness.
