ENTJ dreams ...

I have had all kinds of dreams but I just had one about a week ago. I think is worth sharing.
I dreamed that I was part of a assassination crew after a maternal monarchy. It was roughly the 1700's , so we had on really nice dresses with feathers, lace, ect...
In the dream someone ordered a woman to decapitate her son. It had so much detail and gore. I was slightly disturbed by my own dream.
I have to admit I do have stress from work. It is 2 women that are mostly the cause of it. I never thought it would manifest like this.
Any one had something similar happen?

I've had work stressors manifest itself in dreams or should I say nightmares. I cant remember any details now, but I remember that they weren't pleasant.

Hmmm... and hmmm :D It's a very interesting dream. Reminds me about an ancient ritual (part of Diana's cult) Frazer described in "The Golden Bough". According to Frazer in prehistorical times the most important and universal problem was hunger. So people used to worship fertility gods all over the world, hoping that the diety would bring them luck in hunting for example. There is one myth concerning mother killing her own son. It goes like this:

Once a year a sacred matrimony between the goddess-mother and her son-sacred king is celebrated. The mother gets pregnant with her own son, but after the conception he has to die. Just has to. So she kills him in the time of harvest, but he gets reborn in spring. He rules the earth then, but again, he marries his mother, gets killed, the circle repeats itself.

This story is so wicked :D I brought this up because I am interpreting my dreams the "Jungian way" - I watch for symbols and archetypes (like the Great Mother for example) and I don't take the content of my dreams literally.

I had a dream about slaugtering one of my kendo senseis few nights ago. I invited him to my house on the pretence of having cake baked, he sat down on the chair, relaxed, I went to the kitchen to bring the cake. But what I actually did is I hid myself behind his back and I tied him up with rope and then I cut his throat with blunt knife. Imagine the gore ^^

What is the connection between those two women you work with and your dream?

One of them of then called the control freak is my supervisor. The 2nd one gave me orientation to the place I work. They look down on me because I am new there. They try to step on me as much as they can.
I try just to learn how to deal what ever then put out against me and take it as a lesson. Even though they can get abusive.
Didn't know ENTJ's put up with nonsense like this. Typically we look at negative situations from a cold-objective analytical big-picture perspective, and find a solution.

I certainly know emotions do not get in the way of performance for myself.

As far as dreams:
I have a difficult time remember my bedtime dreams... don't really care about them perhaps?

What is really bugging me is that I wish I were better. Shes putting pressure on me to be better. Somehow I'm not living up to these standards. At least in my mind. So they are manifesting in dreams.
I just had a dream that I went back and found old journals in my book cases complete with t shirts i used to wear. Some one was reading poetry in the background. I kept thinking how cool and I keep looking though my old college stuff.

Well, as you can see apparently they do^^

And BTW, since we are talking types and unicorns - did you know that Jung came up with the whole function/type theory because he had a dream about it?
I often lucid dream - that is, I can control my dreams because I know I'm dreaming.

Add in a really wild imagination and I have some pretty screwed up stuff in my dreams. Example - I've dreamed of a demon invasion. At which point, I began to lucid dream. My solution - I flown into the crust of the earth by punching a hole through the ground, went down into hell and killed the devil with my bare hands.

How did he look like? Where you under stress ? was it a coincidence?

Sometimes I'd wish I have thicker skin. But these are 2 older women that are just rude, egos the size of houses and just plain mean.

Hell was dark with a faint reddish orange glow. The devil was the size of a skyscraper and swarms of demons were at his feet.

Was it stress? I dont know. Probably wasnt induced by stress, but I'm sure the amount f stress in my life I wouldn't be surprised if it at least played a small part. Usually my dreams are crazy, but not usually that dark and gorey.
But were you scared of the demon? I mean the boss, not the tiny ones?

According to Jung when one's Shadow appears in a dream it takes form of people of the same sex [males have male shadow], often scary ones - dangerous agents, assassins, foreigners [sic!] so I guess that he may also appear as a demon.

When the dream is about your most neglected function calling your attention it often appear as animals or other beasts like dragons, but unless you are undergoing a terrible crisis they are friendly beasts.

When interpreting a dream emotions you feel are important.

Not really - I felt pretty passive to him. I felt like I had to stop him in order to stop the demons from coming.

Your analysis is pretty interesting though - definitely opens up some possibilities.

How would you identify a neglected function in a dream?
What theory are you using?
It interesting.
