ENFJ's, come one and all! I need your bet judgement about a strange chat history with a girl who goes to my school.

I am a male sophomore in high school in The US. I want to know your opinion on what the intentions of this girl were in a facebook chat from a while ago, which I just yesterday realised might have been hitting on me or may have been messing with me, I genuinely don't know. I also want to hear stories anyone who sees this may have about completely missing signals from others.

As much as i dislike doing it, I'm going to have to give social stereo types to help the reader get the best perspective. I was a football player, though I quit, because I don't see the point any longer and I have better things to do. She is a volleyball player.

You can probably see I am an ENTJ. I consider logic and objective fairness first and feeling after that. I can't stay mad at something or I know I'm not being myself, though I'm almost never specifically happy. I most commonly describe my temperament as neutral.

I like to surround my self with the deepest people I can find. by that I don't necessarily mean smart or anything, just if you aren't shallow. In fact I avoid people who are smart at school but are stuck-up. I make good grades in the highest classes available to me, and music is my life. I've joined a band, and we're working hard. other than that, I'm interested in Reddit and liberal political-social ideas such as libertarian socialism. I had been wanting to leave football for a while before I actually did a few months ago, because as well as not interesting me and passing as time well spent, I didn't like anyone associated with the sport except for a few classmates who I am still friends with. The final thing about me is in everything I do, I don't tend to take it for more than face value unless I think it might be ill-intention-ed. this applies to almost anything, and I have especially noticed it in English class when examining symbolism. I can find relating qualities in everything, so it is impossible for me to narrow down one specific one when asked about what symbolizes what.

I don't know much about her, but I know she is an outgoing volleyball player who hangs out with jocks, which might be a clue why she chatted me in the first place, since she might have talked about me with someone, be it another volleyball friend or a football-playing friend. Anyway, she seems to be fairly smart because she is in my Pre-AP English class.

That's all I can think of for background information, so on to the incidents. Here is the gist of a facebook chat conversation I had with her:

her: hi
me: hi
her: hello
me: hi?
her: sup
me: um, ok
her: yes, sup
me: hi
her: what is up
me: nothing much
her: wow
me: what? I don't mean to be rude, but why?
her: why [I don't know what that means in the slightest]

The first thought that comes into my head is that I'm an idiot. I can't really see any other point of view now, wow. What I thought of at the time is that she must have been messing with me because she's never even said anything to me in person before now, and she might be hanging out with her friend and chatting me because they're bored or something.

that was July of last year. august, a month later, she posted something to my wall, then deleted it. I chatted her ans asked what it was, and she didn't respond. suspicious, no?

And finally, in February, she posted this:

her: hey cutie
hey
hey
hey
hey

that could mean anything. truly any of this could mean anything. I'm sorry about treating this like a court case, but I want to get a large amount of input on this, with the most accurate answers. I also realize this is long, and sorry about that but I stated my reason previously. I was going to post this in the ENTJ forum, but I think I would rather have feelers' advice on this, and I heard you guys were the most willing to help :) Don't forget to share personal experience if applicable! I hope this is a reasonable post.

She's acting ridiculous, vague and childish. I am saddened by what communication has devolved to. Best to just ignore her frustrating messages until she learns how to speak like a normal human being.

Here's a logical/objective view.

Simply make the decision yourself and just delete her if she's so annoying --- until and unless of course a part of you likes the attention as well. And the highlighted points gathered from your post really do point towards the fact that you do indeed like a lot of attention as well --- mostly the kind that suits your fancy ;)
