1) I turned 18 in july

2) I live in a small country called Switzerland and i'm on the Röschtigrabe, the borderline between French speaker and swissgerman.

3) Making new friends at a new club doing Kickboxing and Krav Maga. Used to go out very often but i started to stay home more often watching animes. I love animes.

4) In switzerland, once school is over, at the age of ca 15, around 30% go to the gymnasium (Something like Highscool), have 14 weeks hollidays, and the other 70% learn a job at an company and earn money (ca 900$ per month in the first year) but they have only 5 weeks per year hollidays. i chosed a special version were both are kind of involved. I learn i job at a scool, earn no money, have 14 weeks hollidays but the same diplome as someone who did it in an industry. And i'm learning electronician.

5)I used to play roles in my social life. With some people i was some kind of shy and gentle guy who doesn't speak much. With others i was a cold, strongwilled Man who was so serious every one was too scared to speak to me. I also played the dummie who is way more smarter than he seems (i mean, in in school, i had the best grades). But i stopped it after a while. Now i started to be myself and am making new friends. But something scares me. I don't know how i do it but the people around me are making me some kind of confession. I somehow make them trust me so much, the tell me their darkest secrets.

6) I am so frightened by death that sometimes i cry before i sleep.

7) To be honest, i don't know. knowing that i'm an ENTP doesn't change much. All the things i saw about entps, i knew it before. What is more interresting are the other types. If you know all about the other types, you can do some good prediction. You know their strenghts and weaknesses.

8) 10pm: i'll soon go to bed, tomorrow i have to work. 2am: *reading a document about the redoxreaction and how accus works.*
Or when you have the skills to do anything you want but are too lazy to get out your bed.

Basic Questions:
1) Age or Age Range? 31
2) City, Country and/or Region?
*laughs* I'm living abroad (Yokohama), but I'm from California, and my mom's family has been in L.A. so long that four generations of my family were born there. My cousins' kids are only a few years younger than me, so I'm hoping the fifth will be born soon. Aka, I've turned into the old maid aunty. I'm not sure how this happened.
3) Tell us something about your social life?
It fluctuates. A lot.
4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations?
I'm an English teacher, but I'd much rather be either a professor or a writer. Editor also sounds nice. Then again, so does neurologist. Or possibly therapist. Let's just say I'm still undecided about what I want to do with my life. I mean, I have my bachelor's, a certificate, and master's.

ENTP Formalities
5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself
I'm brilliant, beautiful, and even brawny. Ok...the last one not really. I'm just really strong, but the stupid muscles stay tiny.
6) Now something shamefully embarrassing
Secondhand embarrassment is a thing. I may be in my thirties, but I still hide my face, plug my ears, and go lalala! If someone does something stupid on the tv. Otherwise, I tend to be rather shameless and don't embarrass easily. My friends hate this.
7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP
Understanding. Aka, it helps me understand how people tick. And it also helps me understand how I work so that I can grow and fix things. Current priority, getting my messy room tidy.
8) You know you're an ENTP because...
Even though I tested as INTP for several years, there was always something not quite right. Aka, I was depressed when I first got into mbti. I then started looking at the descriptions for others and went, "ENTP fits!"

1) Age or Age Range?
40 something straight male caucasian seeks other like-minded weirdos for companionship
and occasional cannibalism. Vegans welcome, but must like eating Venus flytraps or
other carnivorous plants.

2) City, Country and/or Region?
Melbourne, Australia

3) Tell us something about your social life?
I like wearing lady's panties (oh sorry, wrong forum).

4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations?
Previously an analyst/programmer for a large bank (anyone familiar with the Ferengi from Star Trek?
That’s who I worked for. Never could remember all those 'rules of acquisition' though).

I’m currently on hiatus while I care for a family member who’s suffering a serious
medical condition. I might eventually get back into corporate IT (I've seen India on TV and it looks like
a nice place to live).

5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself
Can't think of anything (if this is a key performance indicator for the ENTP type, I've just failed).

6) Now something shamefully embarrassing
I sometimes hide in the garden shed if the relatives turn up unannounced (they're energy vampires, with their tales of the shire and such).

7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP
The Zen state of mind known as 'mushin'.

8) You know you're an ENTP because...
You've just joined PerC and you're thinking "are the moderators going to kick me out this week or next week?".

Seriously though, I don't know if I'm an ENTP an INTP or a monkey's knickers. I seem to have the Ne bit happening but is it my dominant function? (Save me Oprah - I'm having an existential crisis)

Hi y’all. Here’s my one minute of stuff.

Basic Questions:
1) Age or Age Range?
Jus under 30.

2) City, Country and/or Region?
Capital region, Finland

3) Tell us something about your social life?
Lots of interaction at work and in hobbies. Two best friends are foreigners and currently living in other countries, so not much Playstation and beer nights.
A fair amount of second-tier friends whom I rarely see.

4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations?
Specialist, marketing, a company you know. Lots of administration, dreaming of more freedom. I want to be an entrepreneur, at least part-time.

ENTP Formalities
5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself
I speak five languages. None of them related to my mother tongue. This list could be long.

6) Now something shamefully embarrassing
I went to a job interview with lots of newly acquired knowledge on one area and absolutely none on the actual job they interviewed me for. What I learned about and what was needed differed with just one letter. Oops.

7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP
Self-improvement, obviously. Self-understanding as well. The feeling that there are other people alike. Inspiration from fellow ENTPs.

8) You know you're an ENTP because...
School was always easy, so I ended up underachieving. Once I dropped my whole life for living & working in another country simply because I liked the idea of that country. I chose my ”secondary option” university quite spontaneously at the very moment of applying, as I was doing it last minute anyways. Of course I ended up there.

6) I can get so lost in thought that I walk in to people, poles or doors all the time.
7) Knowing that I'm a ENTP has helped me a LOT just over the latest year. I have started to understand strenghts, weaknesses and so on and I want to continue to learn more and understand more aspects of the personality-system.
8) I can debate anything, anytime. Sometimes it feels like I don't have a identity because I can argue so well that I almost get confused in what my opinion is haha.

Just about cocky enough to be an ENTP, for sure. Also, hello, haven't seen any frogs around here in awhile, and of course welcome

Basic Questions:
1) Age or Age Range? 21 (ps: I look like I'm 17)
2) City, Country and/or Region? Limburg, Netherlands
3) Tell us something about your social life? I'm annoying yet helpful. Kind of always want to get stimulated or learn something new. I always give people these "facts". Sometimes I even pull them out of thin air, somehow most of the time it even makes sense logically. I also enjoy talking to people about Idea's, theories, adventures we might have, intellectual but without sounding stuck up. People underestimate me all the time.
4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations? Well, My current occupation is washing dishes for this restaurant. At first it was totally cool for me and I got some sorts of satisfaction out of cleaning things and sorting it in an efficient way, competing with other colleagues for the oneupmanship...

ENTP Formalities
5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself I love it when I can outsmart people that underestimate me by a long shot. Also I'm very arrogant about my ways.
6) Now something shamefully embarrassing Well, I tend to
7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP More knowledge about metaphysics and other people around me. It feels as if I "added" a skill. a new way of perceiving the world around me.
8) You know you're an ENTP because... I did some extensive testing. and somewhere I'm still doubting. I got a INTP-a on 16personalities. then I did some investigating on the subject of INTP. a friend of mine actually introduced me to the site and when I told him my results he showed me this one video. of Who are the INTPs by C.S. Joseph. Whilst watching this video I concluded It didn't really fit me that much since I do tend to help others more than myself. I kept this idea of me not being what the indicator showed me. I then watched the ENTP in comparison to INTP video from Chase (C.S. Joseph). This led me to think ENTP would also be an option that fitted me quite well. Nevertheless I kinda wanted to be INTP and tried to fit the suit. Then after I watched the video I googled to see if there was a test specificly directed towards ENTP vs. INTP. This test gave me a 71% ENTP 29% INTP. For that reason I started looking at ENTP as my ego. It fits pretty well now. I still am hesitant about this just because I think I might be missing something, anyone with some more extensive test on this. I did an enneagram test and it showed 5w6 on the extended test. Anyone that thinks I do not belong here, Please explain why. Maybe I'll learn something.

Hello and welcome! Well this is a great place to start your exploration.

I am not really well versed on the technicalities of each function. That said,
I know that the difference between INTP and ENTP is most certainly not
how much one may or may not help another person. As per the bold line
in your post up there. Do not use that as a guideline. It will lead you astray.

the "E" and the "I" function do not represent extroversion/introversion as they are popularized.
It is not that an ENTP is an outgoing and better than an and/or more capable (or even likely)
to help others vs INTP. It is how we get or glean our thoughts. Not what we decided to
do with those thoughts. Behavior is trivial when it comes to MBTI, is my understanding.
The functions preclude behavior and are base formulaic properties of cognitive process.
So it may explain the journey (the way we achieve a thought) yet it will most likely
not forecast the reactionary behavior, assuming there is behavior attached to said thought.

I probably bastardized that but I think I am in the ball park.

Anyhow. Welcome my fellow ENTP (so far as we know)!
Start poking around and asking questions.

On a side note. Type 5 Enneagram is the most common for INTP.
https://thoughtcatalog.com/heidi-priebe/2016/01/mbti-and-the-enneagram-2/8/

Type 7 is the most common for ENTP.
https://thoughtcatalog.com/heidi-priebe/2016/01/mbti-and-the-enneagram-2/9/

Maybe try reading into that for more correlates.

Basic Questions:
1) Age or Age Range?
Gonna turn 17 in December (don't treat me like a duckling or something like that, I hate that shit).
2) City, Country and/or Region?
Brazil.
3) Tell us something about your social life?
Well, it happens. I spend most of my free time by myself, doing things that most of the time aren't really useful at all. But when I can meet friends and stuff — generally happens at school —, they tend to describe me as "weird", "bizarre" and "funny". Amongst other words, of course.
4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations?
For now, just a student. BUT, my main goal is to become a musician — even though other career options are: computer science (what I intend to get a degree at), writer, artist, linguist (teaching people and translating stuff, probably), voice actor, and whatever else comes to mind after some time living more life.
ENTP Formalities
5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself
Welp I don't even have to use my own words for that: "You're good at everything you learn, wtf" — said a friend of mine, once. :)
6) Now something shamefully embarrassing
I'm horrible at expressing emotions in a normal manner, I generally have to make use of sarcasm and self-deprecation.
7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP
Learn more about my perks and quirks and (I really hope) to find some memes.
8) You know you're an ENTP because...
I'm the little fucker who has over 30 incomplete songs, some incomplete stories/poems, various games that I didn't finish playing, and other stuff. Besides that shitload of fuck, even a friend of mine said that "I always try to be the different one", and I'm not even a single bit offended by that. Stubborn as hell — when people use stupid arguments that I know aren't true at all, and worse, stick to them, I get PISSED. But apart from the bad stuff (with the exception of the one thing I said about being different), there's also good stuff about me that makes me think I'm a ENTP (actually it makes me sure that I'm in fact one). Like: I try to learn a lot of things that interest me, even if they turn out to be completely useless (like the longest word in my native language, which also happens to be longest word in English — btw it's pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcaniosis), just because it interests me; My sense of humour is very broad and I can laugh of a lot of things, if the joke is good, that is. But really, I read a lot about ENTPs and I know for a fact that I'm that sarcastic motherfucker.
Hello! :D

Hi!

Welcome to the club. Registration fees are to be paid with your soul.
Of which you have 50 parts. One piece of soul per year should do it.
We will have that soul gone by the time you are 67.

I am 39 and my soul is almost gone (dont start with that old man shit)!
Young pup. Now get off my lawn before I spray you with my hose!

Here is the requested meme:

Basic Questions:

1) Age or Age Range?

29

2) City, Country and/or Region?

Vancouver, Canada

3) Tell us something about your social life?

I get along well with most people and make acquaintance-y friends easily. Close friends are harder for me to come by. My friendships are usually pretty transient.

4) Current occupation and/or career aspirations?

Ehm .. ok well I was a music performance student (classical cellist) in university but I'm now training to be a dog groomer.

ENTP Formalities:

5) Say something shamelessly cocky about yourself

I'm a better musician than you are. And if I'm not I could be.

6) Now something shamefully embarrassing

I can do exactly one pushup.

7) What do you hope to gain with the knowledge you're an ENTP

Personal type development/realization and all that shit.

8) You know you're an ENTP because...

Because I've studied Myers Briggs for 10 years and I know my functional stack.

Nice try, CIA.

But I'm nice, so...

1) 22.

2) Portugal.

3) I make friends easily but only keep a select group of best friends. I love going to parties where I know absolutely no one, reason why I've been told by strangers that I have huge balls.

4) It's been pretty chaotic so far. I didn't know what to do when I got out of secondary school (or high school, as you guys say in the US), so the last 4 years have pretty much been about starting 75849583 projects without finishing any. In spite of that, I think I've acquired a better work ethic over the last few years. And next september I'll be going to university and start a double CS/math degree with the intent to not only finish it but also get really good grades. My goal is to get into the tech industry with a strong math background (and also because math is fun by itself), so as to be more than just a code monkey. And also move to the US (preferably California or New York), not only because I find American culture to be fascinating and admirable in so many respects, but also because overall it's much better than Europe in terms of career prospects.

5) It's so hard to find people anywhere near my level that I sometimes wonder if my fate is to remain a genius among idiots.

6) I never got drunk to the point of puking.

7) The recognition that it's ok to be a freak.

8) I was somewhat torn between ENTP and ENTJ, mainly because of the fact that I'm extremely ambitious careerwise. But in the end it's pretty obvious that I love chaos & randomness too much to be a J.
