I know an ESFJ who plays online games every single day. A nerdy ESFJ.
Well, he likes recording his game play and likes to upload some clips of his games on social media.

He's very conversational while in the games. He responds to every single Hi's , what's ups and hellos. He likes asking people " how old are you?" LOL

overall, he likes talking while playing, making the quiet environment really fun!

If they start a conversation, just respond and have a continuous talk, make them curious about you and they'll never stop asking questions, until you become friends.

They can make friends easily.
Totally! ESFJ's are so easy to talk to!

I am in Mexico at the moment, barely speak any Spanish, but it's so easy to talk to my friend's Mexican ESFJ wife. He's ISTJ, but said she's always telling him all the news about what's going on with everybody in the town.

ESFJ's are more likely to game if their friends are into it, but I expect gaming still has a long way up to go because on average this type is a late-adopter, but very socially influential.
Now I cant be certain about this guys type but I believe that
one of my sons best friends is ESFJ. He is into any game that
they get into. Although he has a favor for MMORPG games
due to the community aspect. He likes keeping the social aspect
of the games going. He enjoys running the maintenance of guild
stuff and what not.

What I dont like about his gaming is that he will not play seriously
at times to not offend or hurt another user. It sucks.
Or he will throw a card game because he knows the guy who is about
to loose had a tough day. I dont like that at all.

He says "its just for fun ...relax"
I say "well winning is fun so fuck off"

When playing team based games he can ruin it for me. When he is on my team even.
Him: "I feel bad they have not won one round...lets give them a chance this time".
Me: " leave now please"

Just to make me sound like less of an asshole here.
My sons are age 24 and 22. So these are not children
I am dealing with.

My eldest Son is ESFJ and he is a huge gamer. I can certainly tell
that his play style is lead by his emotion much like his friend.
But he was raised in a highly competitive gaming environment.
Both his brother (INTJ) and his dad (me ENTP) all played games together
very competitively. So even though I can see him raging inside sometimes
he has been essentially trained to win.

I know your pain @FueledByEvil

I dated an ESFJ a while back. We were playing Monopoly and she was somehow winning. I landed on one of her spaces and she was like "it's ok, you don't have to pay me" because she felt bad. I get where she is coming from, but it defeats the purpose of competitive gaming for me.
While i wouldn't go for what she did, treating playing a board game with your relatives/friends/significant other as a competitive game is wrong on so many levels. The purpose of it is to have a good time. I know ExTJ tend to be very competitive in everything they do, but you need to chill.

this is why I need to drink when I play boardgames with SJ's

Yeah no kidding.

Hey @Elwinz .... Im going to play captain obvious here....

If one wants to play games with friends for fun of comradery then why not go into
CO-OP play? Or play on same teams? Or...or....or.....

There are a million ways to have fun with people without throwing competitions.
Its a cop out.

The whole point of a VS game is to test each other. I dont need to know if
my friends like me enough. They are playing the game with me isn't that proof enough?

Why play the game at all even? Tell me I am great, pad my ego and then move on with your day.
Save the embarrassment of losing on purpose.

LOL ...too similar to my ESFJ wife and Son. I try to explain the same principal to them.
They dont get that I would rather lose fair then win just for the sake of winning.
