I'm not starting a thread to hate on ESTJ's solely as people, I want to vent the ESTJ-INFP relationship and how it doesn't work out. ESTJs can be good people too, but just not complemented with an INFP- brings out the worst in each other.

Let's hear about all your experiences.

The only ESTJ I know well is a great friend. We don't see each other too often, but he's been my boss at two different jobs and I was his best man. He's very different from me, even though our interests are similar in a few ways.

The only ESTJ's I've known are unhealthy people.
They formed my opinion on them as being complete assholes that go out of their way to be assholes. In reality, they just view the world from a much more direct position. Where i see possibilities, they see a single path.

One thing though, i do feel like they're easy to talk to... or listen to rather. They take your advice and actually break it down and listen.
When I'm not angry, or pissed off at them, i can usually get some laughs outta messing with them.

Oh yeah, and logically destroying them in an argument is entirely gratifying.

My boss at one of my jobs is an ESTJ. He's also from Malaysia. It's horrible, literally depressing. Most of the time we fight, but he won't fire me because he needs me. He knows I do a good job but he's rude and he nitpicks the same crap over and over, treating me like I'm stupid and talking me down in front of customers. He's just a sad, mean man. He never recognizes when I'm trying to be nice.
I will say that there are some ESTJs who aren't that bad. There's one in particular I know who is the most respected person that I know, and he's very kind and considerate which makes me wonder if he really is an ESTJ. But my manager... ugh.
