There's that quote; "Be thankful for all you have, for at one time it was exactly what you wanted." It was true for me (and everyone in the comment box...).

The intended reaction is probably realization and chills, followed by mere satisfaction with the fact. I'm already over it--check this out. If this is everything I ever wanted (for more than a few days) now, does that mean that in several years I'll be looking back on these days with exactly what I want?

Now that would feel amazing, fairly impressive as well.

For me this isn't just something that should be experienced in reflection. It should be constant gratitude. If you can feel it in those moments of nostalgia, what's taking away its magic after you've stopped reflecting?

I believe that happiness has nothing to do with accumulating things, but that happiness is wanting what you already have.
