I had a very unique experience this week. I was in class and it was the usual affair, me being the only one who pays attention to the teacher and being constantly ridiculed and insulted for paying attention. I usually just shrug off the insults and their poor excuses sarcasm, but that day it was different.

Teacher: Who would like to solve this problem? (It was a very simple math problem.)
Me: Raises hand after about 2 minutes of just bullshit*
Teacher: Finally someone who actually can solve this.
Kid1: How, how can you solve it when you were just doodling on your notebook just now.
Me: It's been 2 minutes and I already knew the answer then, I just waited for you jackasses to have your fill.
Kid2: Snickers with Kid1* How is he so smart, It's probably the glasses.
Kid1: For sure.
Me: How is there any co-relation between a medical condition and intelligence.

It's hard to imagine that these guys are 8th grade and can function properly.

Now that we've got that out of the way I would like to know how many INTJ's wear glasses/contacts since the all popular stereotype dictates if he's smart, he's a nerd and if he's a nerd, he wears glasses.
If it's not too much trouble please specify if you were born with bad vision or just ruined them yourself (I was born with bad vision).

Yeah, I have poor eyesight. I wear both glasses and contact lenses - the lenses for school because when I wore glasses I had major insecurities about my looks.

I have genetically bad eyesight. Both my parents are legally blind without their glasses, and I got my first pair at age 9. I got my first contacts when I was 15 and wore them for 8 years. Then 5 years ago I switched back to glasses for no discernible reason.

The odd thing is that all of my eye exams in the past 6 years have shown gradually improved vision. No one has an explanation as to why.

My glasses, 3 degrees both eyes. (They told me "3 degrees", have no idea what it means).
But basically i'm gonna go blind when i'm old .

Oh, how I miss 8th grade math. it looked pretty.
I wish you good luck with your studies and that you would be an engineer/doctor/whatever you want.

My math is just horrible, imagine you already know how to get the answer, but it takes 45mins to complete a question.
my professor calls it donkey work.

My eyesight has always been poor and I have worn glasses all my life. I am getting Lasik surgery in a few weeks to correct that.

With any problem with the eyes, you cannot correct them until the eye is fully grown. Since most parts of the body stop growing at 21 it is safe to assume that glasses and contacts are ineffectual and only serve to prevent the eyes from getting worse.

Actually I'm thinking of becoming a computer specialist, but I'm quite unsure and may I ask where you're from. Maybe Croatia or Serbia since I think "eden" means 1 in those languages.

I'm too paranoid to put in contacts, so I stick to glasses. Without glasses I'd be lucky to be able to see if there's anything *on* a classroom whiteboard, from the front seat.

Also glasses have become part of my persona -- I am entirely unrecognizable without them.

I hated math since about 4th grade when I started bombing it big time. Everyone thought it was me not adjusting to the move. Grade 3 was in a big city, now I was with a bunch of dang hicks in the country.

My eyesight went right down hill I think grade 5 or 6 something like that. I think grade 6 brought the ugliest glasses you could imagine.

Oh yeah, so I got a book out from the library for my littlest guy about improving his sight "how to improve your child's eyesight naturally" a few days ago, and I decided I will use it for myself as well and have made the switch back to glasses. icky what a pain, but I will have to wear contacts for my sunglass collection!!!! This is CRAZY!!!! What a psycho accessory monger I am :ninja:

Even so, it's not what intended for it.
Serbia? kinda close.
idk about sharing my origin in this forum...........judging types anyone?

You should put up a mention like "@username" so the person knows you've spoken to them.

good luck with your studies.

Worn glasses since 2nd grade, it's genetic - got my dad's crappy eyes, but my mom wears glasses too. I wear contacts other than in the evening when I've already pulled my eyeballs out for the night. Shitty vision without anything. Intend to get lasik at some point, actually will have to before too much longer, that or go back to wearing glasses which I cannot stand.

I'm nearsighted and have terrible vision. I've been wearing glasses since the 6th grade and am legally blind in one eye. Thankfully, I can see perfectly up close (books, computer screens, tiny hardware parts, etc) so it's all good. :proud:

According to my optometrist, I have a 20/20 vision and the test was taken last year. I have no idea for this year. When I was still in my elementary years, I wore eyeglasses but with only a low grade because I was born with an eye condition called alternative exotropia. Today, my glasses are gone. I stopped wearing them when I was 11.

My eyesight is decent, I suppose (20/40). All the eye-straining from staying up all night browsing the internet has done a little bit of damage. I suppose I could start wearing glasses, if needed, but definitely not contacts, I'm paranoid about poking my eye out.
