Hello everyone!

First post after being a lurker for some time.

What are some of your fav tv shows or movies??

Whilst it's hard to pick a definite favourite as mine typically changes with my mood, I'd say Mr. Robot / Limitless are my the top 2 of my all-time greats.

What are yours?

Hi, I'm also new :)
I really liked Mr robot in the beginning but it got way to anti-establishment way too fast. -I think I would have loved it when I was younger and more rebellious. I still haven't seen Limitless and it's been recommended a few times so I'll make a point of checking it out.

Right now I'm obsessed with the anime Madoka Magica. It's super surreal in parts and I love how it explores darker emotions, there's a dash of quantum theory too just too keep it grounded and rational  . It's also quite girly and as a female intp there's not a whole lot of girly stuff out there that appeals to me. -My bf liked it too though.

I'm also really enjoying watching Star Trek next generation again. It's always seemed to me that space was more of a metaphor for exploring the human mind in the show and I'm having a lot of fun profiling the characters, many of them seem stereotypical of certain personality types.

Movies; Moonrise Kingdom, Ponyo & Sprited away

Looking forward to other responses. It's always hard to find things I really like.

I'm way more into movies than TV shows, but there are a few shows I like. Stranger Things for sure. Oh, and I loved Newton's Apple and Square One as a kid (typical '80s nerd). As for movies, where to begin? I'll just a list a "few": Trancers, Phantasm, Evil Dead 2, The Deadly Spawn, The Ice Pirates, Street Trash, Excalibur, The Omega Man, THX-1138, Krull, Freaked, and Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

As for anime: Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing, Trigun, Demon City Shinjuku, Akira, 8 Man After, Lily C.A.T., and Iria: Zeiram the Animation.

To tell what's the favorite TV-show is difficult.
It's like telling what's your favorite addictive drug is, but there's a very limited amount of every drug you get addicted to. So I usually end up saying the drug (TV-show) I'm currently addicted to.

Right now I'm between drugs. So I have to go to good 'ol Firefly. It's hard not to love.
To take a recent one I'd say Ozark.
To give people a wildcard I'd say Blood Drive.

Movies? The absolutely best is James Cameron's Transformers 26 - Hurd of the Durd

We just finished watching (and howling at) a New Zealand comedy show called Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby. It's amazing, and both seasons are available in their entirety on YouTube. ( @DarkBarlow you should definitely tune in: you'd love it. Actually, I can think of several people on this board who would.)

I think my most frequently rewatched show and movie are Star Trek: DS9 and The Lord of the Rings trilogy respectively. I just recently rewatched the extended edition of the trilogy with my four-year old. She had a good time with my Anduril replica mimicking Aragorn fighting the orcs, but somehow she didn't quite cotton on to the point of the quest. She was quite distressed when the ring died in Mt. Doom.

Be careful. These things come in threes.

It had me at ************* too. Then I saw the guy with the inexcusable 90s Billy Ray Cyrus hair. Then I looked up when the show first aired. 2005. So it's truly inexcusable. But... apparently things are different in New Zealand?

Good God... that hair is terrible. Is it a joke? Do I have to keep watching? Is the terrible hair explained somehow? Is it part of his characterization as a douche bag? Is he a douche bag or does he just look like one?

I am enjoying Big Bang Theory Right now.

I am currently in Season 4. I wouldn't say it is a hilarious show. As some of the critics have argued, the jokes do get a little repetitive. but it is still a entertaining.

Otherwise:
Everybody Loves Raymond
Seinfeld
Lie to Me*
Numb3rs
White Collar
Star Trek TNG

All I can think of right now.

Spelling quiz, get out your blue pens. Douchebag. Steve from Guidance is a douchebag. No, no @SpookySprite , it's all one word, not two.

Without venturing into spoiler territory, I will say the hair becomes a plot point...
