Open custom. Everyone knows exactly all roles and mechanics. No secrets. I will post a vote count minimum (5+), and have 48/24 every cycle. Players can choose a character from Scrubs (i assign thru RNG the remaining more popular characters who didnt pick one), which is unrelated to the rand after.

-- 11* town --
1 doctor (avoids mafia their NK if they target the same player)
1 nurse** (heals poisoned player if target the same player as the SK during the night)
9* vanilla (vote power as everyone)

-- 3 mafia --
1 roleblocker (roleblocks doctor or nurse her protection, or poisoner their poison, or targets vanilla role meaningless)
2 goon (vanilla, but can put in the mafia NK, whoever puts in target last counts, roleblocker same as goon in this)

-- 1 third party (alternative to the SK) --
1 poisoner with 1*vest (poisons during the night, while target dies the next day eod a twilight unless protected by nurse or if is roleblocked by mafia; mafia needs two shots to take down SK, and the vest cant be roleblocked)

Some extra mechanics:

Game will start at Day 1, meaning first chance of a player dying to poison happens during Day 2 its twilight. If the lynchee is the one being poisoned, there will be no (other) lynch, as the lynchee dies right before getting lynched otherwise.

In events of a tie there will be no lynch. However, a poisoned player that dies on twilight their vote only count as half, in the final vote count.

*I have changed the number of town and VT after sharing with SC to this (higher) number. Is it now well enough balanced or all parties?

**I know there is a nurse role in Mafia with a different power than this. Is it a problem to call my role also nurse? All roles will be shared and well explained in the OP.

I want to double check if my game is balanced enough. I've added more VT's because of SC his input, but I would appreciate a third opinion.

I need to PM Tripped, Chris and Fable all of them, or one, or what?
I can take a look.

Though Tripped and I were talking about kind of going over things together for the first couple of games, just to ensure we're mostly on the same page. If @Fable Wolf is cool with that.

In events of a tie no lynch... i will re evaluate this cuz of the most recent completed game, how this can affect the game.

Also need to type out the win coms stills.

And to role claim or not to claim as well.

oh nvm the first part. Tie no lynch was good. It was rng causing a prob. Allright. Super

We had a couple of follow up questions about your setup, but the balance looks okay to Chris and me.

1. What is mafia's win condition?

2. What is the SK/Poisoner's win condition?

3. Are there any limitations on the doctor/nurse roles? Can they self target? Can they protect the same person more than one night in a row?

4. Is poisoning announced publicly to the thread at the start of the day? If not, is the person who is poisoned informed privately? Are they allowed to claim it if they are informed privately?

5. Is the SK/Poisoner informed if their vest is used up?

6. Can you please clarify the poison death. Do they actually die right at twilight and is it announced at that time with the lynch announced later, or are both announced at the same time at EoD assuming it's different people? If they are announced separately, is posting allowed during twilight or not?

7. As long as the the mechanics for the nurse role is specified in the opening post and it's clear that it's not a traditional nurse role, that's fine.

Hi Owner, Chris and I looked at this one and it's good to go as long as it has a D1 start as opposed to a N0 start (unless N0 is only for the SK to select their immunity; but there shouldn't be any other N0 night actions).

To hit majority when all alignments are alive, or to hit parity with town when 3P already got eliminated. Parity with 3P ends up a loss against them when town is already eliminated or also got only 1 person left.

2. What is the SK/Poisoner's win condition?
To hit parity (or better) with the other alignments. Wins at a 1 1 1 F3 scenario. In other words: wins when no alignment got two or more members left alive (and are also still alive, obviously). In a 2 vs 1 F3 game continues until 3P either hits parity or gets eliminated.

No self target. Cannot same person twice in a row.

Poisoned player is a secret to all, and will die unexpected at twilight. Then final vote count appears, and end of day follows.

Yes, and only that.

First poisoned player dies, and then the lynch follows. The poisoned player their vote counts only as half as a result of its dead. Posting post twilight is allowed until EOD happens 30 minutes later.

@Belzy is the game that is being discussed here, the game in the que or something different?
It is the same game. If I miss anything posted/answered in here, which should be added in the sign up thread, then please let me know if you notice as such. I will make sure to double check things more before the game thread will be posted. I think most things are clear in the current sign up thread.

I may think it's a good idea to have an alternative ready with fewer players in case we don't reach 15 players. Seems hard without getting rid of the SK, to which I then wonder if giving mafia poison power too (without giving them two kills every cycle, per say), could be a thing.

Here's hoping it's not necessary, and 15 players will sign up.

Depending on what the final number ends up being, there may be some rebalancing necessary. If you were to cut all of the unfilled roles as VT (currently 3), that would put town in a severe disadvantage. The simplest counter would be removing the poisoner, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the setup. So you may need to either add extra town roles while cutting the VTs or put some sort of limitations on the scum.

yeah, removing 3p defeats the setup its purpose. I need to cut in VTs and give town more PT. I already developped a role where during one night cycle all night actions wont go thru. That buys town an extra day. Maybe add that and one more town advantage, and it can be done with 12/13 ppl.

It is Open, Custom Traditionally-ish, Newbie Friendly, with only one hidden mechanic (but people will know the mechanic exists) game



I'd like to host this game but not before February.



- Open Custom Newbie Friendly Game -


Town 9x (need to get rid of mafia)

Doctor: Doctor (may target once a night a player to protect this player from a NK; can't self target)

Surgeon: CopVig-ish (may target once a night a player; when targets an infected patient [mafia goon] this person will die during the operation [NK] including the affected nurse; godfather will survive as seems uninfected)

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT

Nurse: VT


EVERY player gets a colour thru RNG (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Orange, Pink, Black, White, Grey, Brown,Rainbow); the 7 RNG's Nurses colours get another RNG deciding who gets affected.

Meaning that the infected [hidden mechanic to all players] nurse will die if successfully targeted by Surgeon.


Mafia 3x (usual nightly fraction kill which can be submitted by any mafia member, last one will count)

Infected Patient: godfather (survives when being targeted by Surgeon)

Infected Patient: mafia goon
