Not really leaving, I just arrived actually.

The INTP type describes me well, but i'm not really the stereotype slacker, as I am quite disciplined.
While I excel in most of my dabbles, it can be hard for me to keep a prolonged interest in one topic or hobby.
Your first impression of me, would propably be that I was either aloof, boring or just an arse, depending on where and when you met me.

I signed up for this forum, to draw from life-experiences of fellow NTP types. As I am a student, I'm especially interested in finding a passion to pursue for a career.

My interests include:
Maths, physics, chemistry (you know, typical sciency stuff)
Music (playing a multitude of instruments in a multitude of genres)
Words (not sentences and grammar, just words. Word etymology and word plays)
Art (not as an artist, but as an observer)
Design (functionality and aesthetics of everyday items. Vexilology)
Mysteries (detective novels, encryption, riddles)
DIY (even though i haven't practiced it as much as i would like)
Pecularity (skewed reality, psycheledia)
Exploration (finding something new, unveiling something)
Daydreaming (more of a trait than an interest, but it's quite interesting)

Feel free to ask me questions.

I wasn't really farewelling at all. It was just means to make my thread stand out from the rest. So, i presume i was 'farewelling' out of a selfish need for attention.

It worked buddy, it worked.
Now you've got my attention, enlighten me my fellow intp. :glee:

I find it interesting that you say you're quite self-disciplined, how so?
I think I WAS when I was like 14- 16 but then it just drifts away. I'm in a rut right now (in fact I should be studying..and not on this site!)
Perhaps you can give me some tips?

Sorry about the late reply.
I have been quite busy for the last couple of weeks.
Thanks to everyone here for replying.

My self-discipline can be attributed to the realization that i want to do something with my life. That i must be the best that I can be now, to get a position (job) in the future that satisfies me. But just knowing that I want be someone does not make me disciplined all by itself; The ultimate reason for why I'm disciplined, is that I believe that I can be 'someone' if I work hard enough. I know that education can seem uninspiring at times, to say the least, but knowing that I can benefit from it in the end makes it bearable for me. Also, when an assignment seems boring or trivial I try to find an angle that interests me.
I am still just a teen, and the realities of life might desillusion me, but I believe that my hard work will pay off, even if just a little.

As an INFJ I find lists help me, if I schedule out my month I can hit my goals fairly easy. Changing diet also helps, eating healthier food makes it easier to focus on your goals, less sugar.
