I've done the test multiple times throughout the last year or so, and always come up with ENFJ.
However, there's been one or two occasions that I've come out as ESFJ, but the S was only 1%. I definitely consider myself ENFJ, but am curious to know if anyone else has gotten a slightly different type.

I usually do.
This is why I often think my mbti is defective because I'd get mbti results all over the place.
I already got ESFJ, ENTJ, ENTP, ISFJ, INFJ, INFP, INTP, and what have you.

I think though that there's no worries there. If you're sure about you're mbti type, then that's great. :)
It's actually a good thing to have different results from time to time. It's better to get balanced than just stick to one type, after all. Or in my opinion at least.

When I am going through a sad time in my life, and therefore distance myself from the outside world a little, becoming less Extroverted, less structured/routine etc, I test as a ENFP. But I know that the ENFJ is who I really am.

I think since you are the one answering the questions, if you answer to them influenced by current situation/surroundings/etc you can influence the results. If you answer how you are in general and not in that particular moment or in a particular situation, I think the results should be the same. It's a matter of how well you can not let you current feelings or thoughts influence the answers to the questions. I've always tested as INFP, so I don't know about changes, always felt and acted like an INFP, never had any real organisation skills or structure, always cared too much and put my heart out, very sensitive too, and never cared about Sensor stuff too much, opposed to other sensors in my life. Oh and introversion...I could see that everytime throughout my life. I've always been pretty constant about it and I am not borderlining anything, maybe this could also have an impact on results...So I don't think MBTI is flawed, I just think people, due to the fact they are not robots, cannot answer objectively all the time.

hah, on the usual tests that just type you "by the letters", not taking functions into account, i usually come out as an introvert, because i really value my alone time and socialisation is something i enjoy but want to take breaks from regularly, so that i can organise myself. and because i am not very tidy in the usual sense (like, my desk is always covered in piles of paper, books; i don't always make my bed in the mornings, etc), those tests tell me that i'm a p, so i've often been typed as an infp.
however, i am very sure (and everyone else who know both me and mbti is even more sure, heh) that Fe is my dominant function, and if i have to be typed, then it should be enfj.
still, even when typed by functions, i also score very high on Ti and get an almost 50/50 result for Ni and Ne, but that's ok, i think - since it's not like we don't have the other functions, even if we stick to some "type" generally, hehe.
