hi all,,

joining the forum to know why and where and how should I improve myself

was only introduced to MBTI about 4-5 months back -- am 31+ now

online tests + one psychologist says I am an ENTJ

found descriptions of an ENTJ which are not flattering traits of a 'good/nice' human being

hence feel needing to improve for work and relationship - but don't know what wife's MBTI type is (yet)

not an English native speaker so I may find myself struggling to read slangs or complicated sentences

but other than that I would really like to get as much knowledge (and share, where possible) as much in this forum

Don't worry about your English as it'll improve as you write in it on the forums.

Keep in mind descriptions about the types are not set in stone. They're only there to give you an idea of a particular type. Just focus on the ENTJ as being Extroverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judgmental. Those are your four keys words, so study them and have fun!

It depends on your view of MBTI theory. Some say it does change while others say it doesn't. One thing/factor you may be certain about when it comes to your personality code is the Introversion/Extraversion dichotomy. There have been more than one study showing how I or E is genetic. While more research will be needed to solidify such a view, you may be more certain you were either born an introvert or extravert. Ambiverts are in between, but more researchers consider them to be moderate extraverts.

While I don't have any studies on me, I suggest you google the following keywords/phrases [but not limited] to see the research for yourself: Introversion/extroversion, genetic, evidence.

Personally, I believe our personality traits may change over time but our type/archetype [or our mas basic/fundamental selves] can't.
