Hello!

I've been hiding awhile but finally signed up. I got interested in the basics of MBTI a few years back and have always seen myself as INFP, although when I first got into it I tested as very borderline on E/I and T/F, and only moderately P. Seem to be getting more extreme INFP as time goes on! For the sake of brevity I'll blame my ENFP (we think) partner. I like getting to know people of different types and am (nearly)hoping that one day, if I stare at other peoples' organised desks and schedules for long enough, my secret inner orderliness might hatch out, hahaha.

Other than psychology and seeing how different the cogs of other peoples' minds and lives are, I like poetry, walking, mindfulness, reflecting, teaching and learning, cooking, art, languages...I'll stop there cause I am nosy and curious and interested in most things, I even enjoy the simplicity of filling out a form from time to time (I don't think I'll introduce myself with that line ever again!).

I look forward to getting to know some of you :)

Welcome to the forum!

Many people seem "borderline" because most people use all functions someway or another. It helps to try to think about which ones you default to in the shortest amount of time. Try thinking of how you would respond when you were a child. We tend to be our truest selves before someone else's influence and society takes hold of our development.

Thanks!

I've taken the functions quiz a few times and got things like "Fi - Fe - Ne - Si - Se - Ni - Te – Ti", "Fi - Fe - Se - Ne - Si - Ni - Te – Ti" "Se - Fi - Fe - Ne - Si - Ni - Ti - Te" ... I took it lots of times as I couldn't believe my 'logic' was apparently so low. Having read more detail about Te and Ti though, it does make sense. And having really tried to step back and look at my life logically (and realising how hard I had to try to do this!), actually I run my life very illogically, if you can even say that I 'run' my life at all. Anyway, loads more to learn before I figure out where I am with those functions and what they mean exactly.
