So what is the personality type of your mother, your father and your type?

What about your grandparents on your mother side and father side?

Please write your formula:
MOTHER TYPE + FATHER TYPE = YOUR TYPE

MOTHER SIDE:
GRANDPA TYPE + GRANDMA TYPE = YOUR MOTHER TYPE

FATHER SIDE:
GRANDPA TYPE + GRANDMA TYPE = YOUR FAHER TYPE

Let´s see if there are any significant correlation or patterns.

Thanks.

Seems to be almost entirely a J family, mostly S, but I came out NTP. Father's mother seemed ExTJ, and I'm trying to figure out S/N. Could go either way. Her sister is probably ENFJ. One of her sons (a second cousin) seems to be ESTP. Otherwise, it seems almost everyone on both sides is SJ, with my mother's nothing having been possibly an F, and everyone else, a T.

I think the hereditary factor might be temperament more than functions. Temperament might be the primary factor of personality, with the functions being preferred based on temperament needs.
So the family is mostly Melancholy (Which is both SJ and/or IST), but there is Choleric on my father's side, and seemingly some Supine on both sides. This came together for me, as INP + NT.

Dad - ISTJ
Mom - ESFP
Brother - possibly INTP
Grandfather mother's side - never met him, but he was a business owner and according to descriptions, really smart and approached things the way I do. I'm gonna type him as an ENxJ.
Grandfather on dad's side - he died young, probably an ESTJ
Grandmother on mom's side: tough one. I saw her as an ESFJ for a long time, but she's hard to get to know. ExTx
Uncle 1: ESTx
Uncle 2: INFP

Again, I could be wrong, and despite the different personality types, I have functions in common with my parents. I identify with my dad's Te and sometimes with my mother's Fi and Se.

ENFP (ma) + ISTJ (pa) = ESTP (moi)

I didn't really know my grandparents...I know my grandmother is probably an ENFJ, she's the only one alive. The others died from cancer, one from old age (95 woo! I think longevity runs in the family...my one grandpa had eight different types of cancers since he was 35, lived to be 70...he worked around stuff that causes cancer. Okay I'm done with my tangent)

If I had to guess...dad's side was
ENFJ (mom) + ESTJ (dad...maybe...all I remember was that he was a dick and was picky as hell and things needed to be done a certain way, etc.) = ISTJ (my dad)

My mom's might be easier...
INFJ (mom) + ISTP (dad) = ENFP (my mom)

Mom = ESFJ
Dad = ISTX
Me = INFP

Mom's side:
EXFX (dad) + ESFJ (mom) = ESFJ (my mom) :shocked:

Dad's side:
ISTJ (dad) + ESFP = ISTX (my dad)

I have no N's in my family. :crying:

INFP-6-2-9 (Mom), ENFP 7-9-2 (Father) = 3-5-8 ENTP (Me) and an ENFP 4-6-9 (Sister)

Granparents on my moms side are an ISFP (grandfather), and INFJ (grandmother)

I speculate on my Father, and Grandmother, as I never knew them.

* = tested

My parents.
INFP* (but she acts like an ESTJ except that she's obsessed with morality and her religion) + ISTJ* = INTP* and ENTP*.

ESFP mom + (I don't know. I've only met him once. He seems kind of IXFX) = ISTJ and ENTJ.

ESTJ* mom + (Mystery guy) = INFP*.
ESTJ* mom + INFP* dad = ESTP and some other kind of SP.

Dad = ESTJ
Mom = INFJ

Me = ENFJ
Sister = ESTJ
Brother = INTJ

We're a family of planners and in my view the healthy mix of sensors/intuitives, thinkers and feelers has kept us really close as a unit.

My Fe came from my mom for sure ... but I'm a lot more extroverted than her. My sis just happens to be a female version of Dad ... And bro's just a genius -- always has been.

Mom = INFJ
Hooray for INFJ moms!!

Mom: INFJ. Really wise, caring, sensitive, and spiritual.
Dad: ISTJ. Really religious, conservative, and set in his ways.
Me: ENTP. Laid-back, open-minded, risk-taker.
Sister: ESFJ. Easily wounded, likes to party, loves to impress people.

I think we're all pretty different. o_O;

Me: ENTP
Brother: INFP

Please write your formula:
MOTHER TYPE ISFP + FATHER TYPE ISTJ = MY TYPE ENTJ

MOTHER SIDE:
GRANDPA TYPE ISTP + GRANDMA TYPE ENFP = MY MOTHER TYPE ISFP

FATHER SIDE:

Type isn't hereditary, it's random.

Mother's side:

ISFJ (grandmother) + ESTP (grandfather) ---> ISFJ (my mother) + ESFP (aunt 1) + ESFJ (aunt 2) (checks out)

Father's side:

ESFJ (grandmother) + ISTJ (grandfather) ---> ISTJ (my father) + ESFP (aunt 1) + ESFJ (aunt 2) (checks out)

Me:

ISTJ (father) + ISFJ (mother) ---> INTJ (me) (kind of makes sense, but sucks either way)

INTJ (me) + (choose) ---> the new regime; oh dear God
