Hello, welcome to personality cafe! if you have any questions feel free ask them :D
If you want to talk to like minded people, the INTJ subforum would be a great place to start. How long have you been interested in MBTI?

I took the test a few months ago and it's really helped me to realise my strengths, as I used to think there was something wrong with me for not being more emotional and people misunderstanding me for not caring. I guess it's just a journey of self discovery and also understanding others as well. I haven't got any questions right now but I'll let you know if I do, thank you.

Yes, that is something that a lot of the IxTxs experience I think. One of my close friends is an INTJ, and learning about MBTI really helped me to understand him and his ways of showing his affection of friendship. One thing people do get confused about is being emotionally vocal and caring for someone, sharing all of your Feelings to your friends doesn't equate to caring. What is your favourite strength? :)
Anyways, I hope you have a lovely time here! There are so many nice people who are very interested in self discovery here.

I think my favourite strength is the independence to go against the rules, ignore gossip and disregard authority in favour of doing what I think is right, the strategic and long range way I perceive things helps a lot too in avoiding negative situations. Another one is that I'm always looking for ways of improving things, I try to help people a lot that way throwing out ideas for them to consider. What is yours?

My favourite ENFP strength? Or my favourite INTJ strength?
I will assume you meant ENFP for now. XD
My favourite part of being an ENFP is being able to understand others and their thought processes and emotions really well, I am always trying to view things from other people's perspectives. I am great at brainstorming and finding new and creative ways to do something, Although this can be annoying if no one is adventurous enough. Finally, I like the fact that I have an inquisitive nature and want to learn more and more, this trait allows for great potential in the area of development.

Yeah I meant your strength :) I can be quite inquisitive as well but I'm also good at blocking out information if I don't think it would be useful and I sometimes try and be adventurous but it generally doesn't end well. Do you think taking the MBTI and knowing your personality type has impacted your choices much regarding future goals or just little things you do now that you didn't before?

Hahaha xD
I speculate that the reason that INTJ adventures sometimes go badly is due to the inferior Fi & Se combination which can make you guys sometimes unaware... I dunno. My INTj friend is super fun when he Is hyper and I love it. But he hates it because he doesn't sort through everything mentally like he normally does, so he can be somewhat afraid that he will offend me or do something stupid. I am still trying to understand him though, so I could be wrong about that.
Hmmm well I do not think that MBTI should influence my major life decisions in a restricting type of way; it did however give me the confidence to believe that teaching was a brilliant career for me and that I will be able to help a difficult generation to know that they can achieve greatness with hard work and dedication :) I used to wonder whether I would Be a good teacher because I can be a bit day dreamy and scatter brained but looking at MBTI had really helped me to realise that I can do anything I want to if I am able to conquer my weaknesses and maximise my strengths.
What are your dreams?
I would describe MBTi as a great tool for discovering the self, but any tool can be very dangerous in the hands of certain people.. some people like to label others and form them into a mold of a certain type (we call it typism).
Sorry... I got distracted from my main point... (I need to go to bed -_-)

I agree it's about how you use it, I think it's good to take pride in who you are but when it crosses over to us and them you can burn a lot of bridges. I wouldn't say I really have any dreams at the moment, I do feel optimistic about the future but no long range goals set in stone, I'm just trying to make the best of what I've got right now. Though I am going back to school this year to retake my English GCSE to get it from a D to a C or higher, I think it's a positive step to take and hopefully opens up more options. I have a hyper side too but I think when I act silly around people they can start to see me as stupid or desperate for attention if they don't understand I'm just playing, I guess it's about finding people who appreciate my sense of humour, so to minimise misunderstanding and avoid being disrespected I'm only more gregarious around people that I can trust. I think being a teacher would be a great career choice.
