Highest level of education completed (ENFJ's ONLY)

I have a one year degree and one AAS degree in diesel and automotive technology.

But I consider myself a scholar of the world.

Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Communication and Media Management

Broadcasting and media essentially...

I have a problem with authority. And I have a problem with spending my own money to be treated poorly by an institution. I fully support anyone who goes.... that is very cool, because I believe every single person on Earth has a different path. One path might work for one person... and not another.

But just because I hate school doesn't mean I don't learn and study things... I loooovvveeee! LOOOVVVEEEE learning!! Every now and then I'll grab books from the local library... or I'll borrow books from friends who ARE in college.

I studied neuroscience for a little while, and I think if I were to actually go to school it would require me to have had won the lottery #1, so I could quit my job and JUST go to school and have a social life. And #2 I'd go in for neuroscience, or even the world of psychology, and add to it. Help push the field further. I would absolutely enjoy contributing to the world of the brain...

It's been on my mind a lot lately. I've been thinking... what if I did do something to raise a bunch of cash to do exactly that. Go live somewhere, and pay for school, without needing a job.

I'm in my third year at college - working on a BA/MT in Government - Social Studies Education.

Finished a bachelor in political science and I've completed one year of my master in the same subject, so I guess that's bachelor? In a year it's gonna be masters degree anyway.

However, many people throughout the site have noted that this poll doesn't take into account age or the current pursuit of a new diploma, degree, or certificate, and doesn't allow for non-traditional achievement such as vocational school. These issues had crossed my mind before, but I made some big assumptions and ended up ignoring the potential flaws. I've realized now that that was a big mistake that will render any data gathered from here useless. This poll will remain open for anyone who wishes to vote or discuss the issue; however, I will not be using this data for the project detailed in the OP and I will open a new poll on this subject at some point in the near future.

@Randroth I wonder what your original intentions were when asking this question? Because I wouldn't be so hard on yourself... I bet you still learned some interesting things, and found correlations in behaviors and attitudes toward school within the MBTI types, and not necessarily within the numbers.

@iamken You're right, I have learned some interesting things thus far from the poll results, and even more so from the discussions. But if I want my data about to be statistically reliable (or at least as reliable as self-reported online data can be), I'm just not sure I can proceed without adjusting for age and the current enrollment in education.

I would think the current economy would have an effect on how many folks are currently pursuing and education beyond high school. I'm almost 49 years old, even back then, an education was expensive. I wound up getting my degrees a little at a time, started with an LPN, then RN, then BSN, etc. It took me years to pay it all off.

These days, it seems young people have to take on insurmountable debt in order to further their education.

I mean the ways to pay for it is what kills me. Grants/scholarships/loans. The first two are your best bet, because student loans are awful. You get out of college with a mortgage... that you can't even declare bankruptcy on!

I just don't see the point. I'd rather just open a small business, and grow it.

This is the path my youngest child chose. He is very intelligent and I am certain he would have done well at university. But, he said that he could not justify saddling myself or his self with that kind of debt.

He went to trade school became an electrician and is doing very well for himself.

I lamented that he would have enjoyed the experience of college. But, he made a good point. He said that it is no longer the turn of the century when most books/knowlege were only available in colleges/universities. Now, it is quite easy to educate yourself. And, he is the type that would learn for the sheer joy of learning, not to obtain a degree for a job.

So, as hard as it was, the mother in me shut up and just supported him while he found his own path.

Don't know if this counts, but I know a 100%, no doubt in my mind ENFJ with a PhD.

Completed a 4-year Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Religious studies. I am in the last year of my studies in Bachelor of Education (Secondary education) focussing on Social Studies and ESL (English as Second Language).

I finished 4 years of college and went on to get my Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

So, what did you come up with??

1. Law graduate
2. Masters in business administration with marketing as specialization.

What were your findings man...
