Great is the virtue of honour.
It excels in its beauty,
has clarity of purpose,
the simplest vision
and is able to hold many spellbound.
For some it is a code of conduct,
for others it is a promise kept
and many see it as the difference
between right and wrong.
It is like a white horse statue that
withstands the winds and sands of time.
Firm in its resolve and staunch in commitment,
it shows what we stand for and makes us complete.
A bright symbol of inner freedom against a
background of darkness.
This poem is dedicated to Sir General Peter Cosgrove, 26th Governor-General of Australia, who was one of my previous customers.
