I would suggest starting by reading some articles about INTJ's. It looks like your pretty close to ISTJ too. You may not fit nicely into one of the boxes. Give that one a read as well.

If it sounds completely like you, and none of the others do, you have your answer. You might want to take the test again a few times spread out over a week or so. You may test differently.

I took MBTI testing at school in 2008, and the result was ISTJ. Shortly, at the end of semester, my professor told me that I am more INTJ than ISTJ. On the other hand, I took MBTI testing from different sources, and I have been INTJ. My T is always higher.

I read about INTJ and ISTJ personalities. I honestly, saw a lot of INTJ personality in me, and some ISTJ quality.

That sounds just like me. Sensing is strong for me too.

However, I also came out INTJ on nearly every test I took. To confirm that result, I read descriptions about the personalities of INTJs and ISTJs (see the Article sections in the respective sub-forums here). The INTJ characteristics just seem to be a lot more "natural" to me.

And after all... isn't being skeptical about being INTJ typical of INTJs, too? :proud:

I'm not a total weird person. However, I did answer my testing truthfully.
Who are you calling weird?

I like to consider it unique and special. The good kind of special, not that kind of "special". LOL

You are you. INTJ is just a personality trend, a general "type" not a mathematical axiom. I wouldn't worry too much about it. [Unless you had a result of ENTP, or ENTJ...in that case seek counselling and anti-psychotics immediately].

When you take MBTI test don't think how you would like to be, instead think of how you are. It helps to reference the questions to your past experiences.

But also keep in mind that you actually have all the cognitive functions in your head. The left side of this pic is left hemisphere or your brain - right side is right hemisphere.

If you are typed N it doesn't mean you don't have any S. It just means that N is your dominant cognitive function.

I'm calling myself weird because I'm different than to people I mingle with. I can talk almost everything if I want too when my education isn't that high level at all. Obviously, everyone here can tell my education level. However, all of us are special in different way. We can't be uniform. Amen~

In reality, there is no such thing as an INTJ. INTJ is just a label we decided to put on people with similar traits.
No one is a real INTJ because INTJs don't really exist.

People similar to us love this because we tend to be organized in thought and have an innate need to identify and classify everything we see.

Sorry; but I think this sketch is nonsense. Most proof for MBTI is usually very far fetched. Jung came up with some cognitive functions that he admitted was a simplistic representation of thought processes MBTI is the process of turning that into 'tick boxes to choose your own starsign' with 90%+ of participants being totally blind as to the cognitive meaning and therefore only useful for 'People who do this tick these boxes' kind of analyses. I would love to ask where this came from and how it is realisitic and provable?

this is what I'm trying to figure out right now

this pic came from some reading I have done that was trying to tie existent philosophies to MBTI to neurology
you can of course refute it as too simplistic but same is true of any model one attempts to build, and psychology is known to not be the most precise science out there

I actually found that picture to be quite full of sense. :] It is just showing how types chriscross due to functions. It also shows the functions that types follow. It is actually a very good picture.

If you're not me then you're a real INTJ.

The function map seems nice, but I don't think it relates to a map of the brain.

Depends; I tend to think the brain is more complicated, but it has some draw. It just needs to be tweaked. I would probably put feelings on the right side with intuition and swap the sensor to the left brain logic side.

hmm well i'll consider posting it later in general MBTI section then you guys can go over it and comment
my Ni is having a feast right now but i lack prerequisite knowledge in all three areas philosophy, psychology, and neurology to ascertain validity of these claims

The fact that you are labelling yourself as "not a total weird person" proves that you are an S-type. How do I know? Because INTJs are weird xD
