I'm mbti INFJ and socionics infp. I'm actually quite good at using Fi, since it's my demonstrative.
I don't Fi as much as EII/ESI, but it will still come out from time to time.

How I use Fi: I try to maintain good relations with the people around me. I'll give people compliments, I'll apologize and smooth over conflicts etc. I also tend to value deep connections with people etc.

Fi is tied for strongest function in INFp's (INFJs), however it is subconsciously used for Ni conscious "aid". INFJs don't prefer Fi because they consciously prefer Fe, however it is very strong strong and typically comes out under a lot of emotional stress (because INFJs stop caring about the use of Fe and go into "childish" Ni/Fi comfort mode). When in this state of mind, INFJs will typically go into full out self pity, depression/melancholy, and feel like they have lost all meaning in life and will see everything as pointless. After this "stage", INFJs will feel the need to detach from their overpowering negative emotions, and go into Ni/Ti loop of logically overanalyzing everything in order to find meaning again and return to a normal state of mind (which never works and ultimately ends up in going into the Se grip and is usually mixed with even more unhealthy Fi). Healthy Fi is hardly ever expressed in INFJs, because it remains unconscious while Fe is consciously "wielded". For more information and sources, check these out.

Fi is the INFp's "demonstrative" function. It is a very strong (4D) function, meaning that when they use Fi they can apply it based on their personal experience, social norms, creatively as the situation warrants, and improve/develop it through time. It is the only function in their stack besides their leading Ni function that is capable of doing this. However, it is both unvalued and unconscious, meaning that INFp's hardly ever vocalize their Fi judgments, nor do they view Fi as important and necessary to focus on and develop. Their Fi mostly comes out as a byproduct of their Fe creations- they create harmony within groups and in the process get to know each individual person within the group and form their own judgments. INFp's tend to be good listeners, understanding, and empathetic, which helps them understand people and build good relations with them. Also, although they will use Fe in public much more often, privately INFp's tend to have very strong views of right and wrong, and good and evil. These value judgments affect them a lot, even if it's behind the scenes.

For the INTp, Fi is their "mobilizing" function (equivalent to tertiary function in MBTI). It is a weak (2D) function, so unlike an INFp their use of it is limited to their personal experiences and fulfilling ethical norms. Like INFp's it is an unconscious function that they have little conscious awareness of but unlike in INFp's it is a valued function. INTp's see building Fi bonds and values as an important part of living a good life even though they're not particularly strong at it. With them, Fi comes out more as them trying to follow standard ethics of "goodness" and respect, making sure they are being true to themselves regardless of groups, and trying to find people they can share a part of themselves with (to love).
