Hi there,
I was wondering if any of you could tell me how I could figure out whether I use an Fe-Ti thought process or a Te-Fi thought process (which might tell me whether I really am an ISTJ or if I am actually an ISFJ).
I have read many of the definitions for each of these four functions. When I read about them, I kind of feel like I have a hard time relating to some of them. Like, I might relate somewhat to Fe, but then I think "I can't be responsible for the way someone feels" because that seems logical--I can't fix everything. But in a way I feel like I am. Or in another sense, I think Te is a terribly harsh thought process because it's comparing something to see whather it meets a standard. It's almost too objective to relate to (at least from the definitions I have read). Ditto about Fi and Ti--I think I use a lot of Fi (from where I get my moral values? but I guess there are other ways to come by moral values as well.)
Can someone tell me how each one works and maybe provide me with some examples? Possibly I have just read too much about the functions and have confused myself as to what functions I trully use. You know, the foreman effect.
Do you have any other solid ways for me to tell the difference between an ISFJ and an ISTJ? I feel like the two types are so similar.
Thanks!
