So, for the longest time I've been convinced that I'm an ESTP. Whenever I take a test I often end up 50/50 for T/F, leaning a little more towards T (not always, but it's happened enough times for me to take notice). After reading the descriptions, I also felt that ESTP was more appropriate.

The problem is, the older I get, the more I realize that I exhibit a lot of ESFP behavior as well - it just tends to depend on the situation at hand. How do I go about figuring out which one I actually am?

see i did alot of questioning of my own results but what finaly sold me on the esfp was i came across somthing called socioncs with is a study on the relations the types have, and so i just look at the types around me and using my type as the changing varible i just compared the diffrent relationship types to each other to decide which one best fit me.

The two types are very similar both being Se dominant

Learning about the cognitive functions and applying it to how your own mind works is very helpful. The test that troisi posted is a good start on getting a better idea as to which cognitive functions you put empahsis on.

Another thing you can do is look at these articles and see which you relate to best between the two types
