I've typed anywhere from INFP to INFJ to ENFP but I think I might be an ENTP...here's why:

I always seriously identified with ENFPs...I'm spontaneous...have 20 tabs open at the same time...mostly wikipedia usually. I fall for people in the course of 5 minutes...cry at movies...cry in general and all that jazz...I love helping people...I love memes and stuff like that...always been told I act like I'm on drugs (I'm not)...I'm fairly intense when it comes to personal relationships, both romantic and platonic...

But my friend told me she thinks I'm more of an ENTP because of my quick wit, my love to just sort of be dominant and my love of arguing...and my ability to manipulate people if I want to. I was told when I was younger that I should be a lawyer.

I've always been good at manipulating people...which is a bad thing. I wouldn't say I'm a sociopath because I definitely have morals and I don't do immoral things just for the sake of personal gain or being immoral, but that doesn't stop the fact that I can manipulate people if I want to. Just because I can do something doesn't mean I like that about myself and doesn't mean I like doing it.

The other thing is that I love arguing. I can argue about literally anything simply for the purpose of arguing...I will also plow through peoples arguments with no regards to feelings if their argument has nothing to back it up. I will call out someone using appeals to emotions or basing arguments simply on emotion by presenting facts, even if it offends them and makes them hate me...I only feel bad after but during the time, I get so heated that I just don't give a flying puck.

I also think the world is pretty much doomed and everyone is shit until they prove otherwise and that most people are bad. I also am conservative which I was told isn't common for NFs.

I'm also UBER competitive about almost everything.

I don't know which I am...

EDIT: I freaking misspelled "they're" FML.

That's sort of scary I guess...my best friend is an xSFJ and I basically think she's a total idiot half the time and I've been giving her a lot of tough love lately. It might not mean anything, but I also never cared about my school work and always got bad grades, but still managed to do decent on tests without studying. I'm very book smart but have no common sense.

ESFP might make some sense because I love to entertain people and make them laugh...I'm also a good liar and been told I'm good at public speaking and acting, though I never really did act in any sort of school/formal setting.

ENFPs and ENTPs are fairly similar. I used to think I was an INFP, then an INTP, but now I'm thinking I'm ENxP.

ENxPs share their dominant and inferior functions.

You sound just like the ENFP guy at work. ENTPs try to isolate our emotions to enable rational decision making, consequently we tend to be in internal conflict with our emotions. ENTP enjoy arguing as its a form of exploration, we dont intentionly upset people, we just dont realize that people get emotional about a rational discussion. Its a mental exercise rather than a battle.

I think you leaning T is possible but based on what you said alone I think you might be an ENFP.

Here is a good way to put it, while an ENFP is likely to cry during an emotional scene in a movie an ENTP is likely to make fun of it or humor it a bit.

ENTPs are also considered one of the least romantic types. So most of us wont relate to the "falling for people in 5 minutes" scenario.

You do sound like ENTP to me, all the rest you mentioned is Ne dominant and the bolded part looks undeveloped Fe, which indicates you might be in your 20s.

I could be wrong again, just saying.

I tear up when I hear amazing feats of other human beings...even in fiction. I also have, in the past, teared up at songs and movies.

The difference between being a thinker and a feeler is huge, it impresses me how people are confused what they are between such two types.

Well, as far as I know for having dated an ENTP, I can tell you ENTPs don't feel things that intensely, or at least they always have some control over their emotions and they're never vulnerable for a long time. If they think an emotion is useless, they have the ability to suppress it quite easily. The one I've dated was also averse to all that's more sentimental and he preferred funny things.

The things your friend talked about seem to be common to ENFPs too, I think that's because of the dominant Ne. The main difference between these types lies in the judging functions: Ti vs Fi and Fe vs Te. What you should figure out to be sure whether you're an ENFP or an ENTP is which pair of judging functions you use. :)

I think some thinkers might think they're feelers because they feel intensely emotional at times. Some feelers might think they're thinkers because they possess intellectual curiosity or tough mindedness at times.

I think I definitely think alot about myself, not in a selfish way, but in the way that most of what I say is in the terms of "I feel/I think/I am/I will be" which seems pretty Fi to me...

I wonder if I could actually be an ESFP...I always loved being the comedian/actor type and making everyone laugh, and I'm a decent public speaker. Never shyed away from attention in a big group. Hmm.

I didn't mention this, but I also often think about the way things work, like equipment I walk past on the street, or stuff like that. I always think about how the internal mechanics work and try to figure it out myself, though sometimes, I'll just look it up.

You're a clear ENFP bro.

No ESFP would choose such a username for starters.
