a picture that includes, but is not limited to...

a house
you
a tree

This is completely imaginative, do whatever you wish, but you must have at least those 3 items. Fire up MS paint, do it by hand, whatever you want. I don't mind if the lines aren't straight, if it's not colored, if you use stick men, anything! Try not to look at other contributions until after you've completed yours!

I'll respond to every picture personally and also use a pathetic psychological evaluation that I'm ashamed they teach in University. If you don't want the comment, just say so :D. It's all in fun though.

Looking forward to a few :D. I know Goosefish won't let me down (calling you out, Ms. Spontaneous).

First, this is a GENERAL post based on commonalities, what to look for, and what it means

House:
Are the windows barred? Even the + symbol across them symbolizes that you may view your home as uninviting and similar to that of a prison.

Is the house door open? An open door implies a friendly invitation to the home. While a closed one may suggest antisocial tendencies.

Is there a chimney? And is it lit? (smoke) The chimney implies the ability to vent your frustrations. It's absence is similar to having the exhaust blow within your car and slowly killing you.

Tree:
Are there any fruit, seeds, etc? A lack of these symbolizes the inability to understand the primary mechanics of life. -- Psychologically immature.

Is there any fruit or seeds on the ground?: Absence implies the above, but also an inability to grasp death and rebirth. -- Possibly naive.

Does the tree have branches? By not having branches this reflects your inability to branch out of the unfamiliar. -- Possible anxiety issues.

Is there a swing on the tree? I don't recall exactly why, but having this is a huge benefit :D.

You / people:
Do you have a smile on your face? No? Depression.

Is your family represented in the photo? Anyone missing from the photo may be a source of conflict.

How close is -your- character from other people, animals, or objects? Distance can imply weak ties or antisocial personality disorder. While being too close can suggest attachment issues.

General environment:
Is the sun out? If it is, that's a good thing, but it's very important you have the lines sticking out from it implying that it's providing warmth and comfort. Missing the sun entirely is a red flag that suggests you may have narcissistic tendencies, in the sense that you don't believe in figures of power (ie: parents, God, etc). Additionally, you are unable to provide comfort to others.

----------------------

The rest is more specific and relates to shapes, colors (if used), general appearance of items (bushy healthy trees?) any additional items drawn on. So I'll get cracking on that right now.

I've read about this before, but it should be interesting to see what you have to say about it ;)
Lad, the psycho-analysis part, is that limited to you, or can I also psycho-analyze the submissions?

Oops, ya. This is all for fun so anyone can do whatever they wish.
Sounds good!

Isil, thanks for the pic. I'll comment directly when I get back a little later (p.s. the labels are hysterical).

If it shouldn't be that way...nevermind I'll draw XD

Commencing Isildin analysis:

The stick figure representing yourself in this picture, as well as the dog, is facing the tree, instead of facing the house or facing forward. The tree is the only colored object. This suggests that you find more inspiration and stimulation by the outdoors and nature, more than time spent indoors. Something about the life in nature that surrounds you gives you more of a feeling of true inner security than a house, which represents a more basic security. "House" is the only uncapitalized word, indicating it holds only a basic regard, whereas "Dog" and "Tree" are capitalized, showing you regard their animate quality as desirable to you. You also made the tree the only foreground object instead of putting it on the horizon line, solidifying it as your primary focus and interest. Your choice to add a dog next to you demonstrates your desire for companionship, but because human relationships may be seen by you as somewhat risky and difficult to trust, the image of the dog was unthreatening while still representing companionship. Seeing as how you are facing the tree, though, it is apparent that you actually experience a feeling of companionship when you are in nature, being surrounded by animate organisms, even when you are alone.
Since I don't have someone who can take a picture of me up in a tree IRL... Actually, I'm assuming you want the classic, "what did you draw since kindergarten" sort of thing. Mine's slightly changed - it was my brother and I peeking out of the attic windowsthen which slowly morphed to us in the downstairs windows. Now I'm in a tree reading a book. I like my new version better. :p

Though, having only what was in my office to play with significantly limited color choice. Not cool.

(my brother is peeking out of the bottom right window btw, and the funky colored things in the sky? yeah, those are clouds.)
It is a little scary and badly drawn, but I really want to be psychoanalyzed.

Finally done drawing mine :) Took a little bit.

Took me longer to find an image hosting site that works at my work than it did to draw the picture
Are you Jewish? Because the treetop reminds me of the Star of David. Hahaha.

Nah. I couldn't find anything that would look like tree bushes so I used a star thing...
