I'm an INFJ..I assume I am one...I could be something different, but I seem to identify with all the qualifications. :rolleyes:Anyway, I went from going to school for Substance abuse counciling to seeking out the healthcare support field. I realize it's not cheap to go to school, especially if you are paying out of pocket. Am I making the right choice, as an INFJ to move into the health care support field? I'm thinking along the lines of physical therapy assistant. But should I stay out of the field completely?

?????????????? I feel as if you've been reading those Career choice things based on MBTI type. Yeah those are pretty bullshit. If you like people and you want to help people in need then I think physical therapy assistant would be a good pick. Honestly though you need to ask yourself "As an individual" Do you want to be a Physical therapy assistant, and if so then why.

Why are you making a career decision based on your type? What does MBTI have to do with this? You are taking this thing way too seriously. Let me explain how this works:

INFJ:

Ni
Fe
Ti
Se

That's what this thing means. It's not a very good tool for choosing a career. What have you been training for your entire life? That is a better question to ask. What kind of knowledge have you accumulated over the years, by your own volition? Your type has little to do with this.

Enjoy your stay.

I think I was misunderstood

I am just trying to find my way into the future with a career in the healthcare field, support field, and I tried the substance abuse field, but I was inquiring if those that are INFJ's out there can do well in the field, or is it something to stay out of, that's all. I am not happy investing all my years in the hospitality business, so no, that's not where I want to be for the rest of my life.

You might find it more helpful reframing this question in the INFJ specific forum. Welcome to the fold Sister of The Unseeing Eye (or should I say our Elite Circle of The INFJ Brethen :p ).
