I haven't been incredibly active here since 2009. So much has changed and there's so many people I don't recognise :O I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

So I stopped going on forums because I had many problems that I was not facing. Instead I was helping other people with their problems so I could forget about my own. I have moved from forum to forum, been inactive for a number of months, moved to another forum etc and then I realised that I cannot help others if I cannot help myself.

Those of you that may remember me will know that I was very fragile when I first came to this forum. I was a complete mess and reeked of desperation to be loved and accepted. Unfortunately this meant I fell in with the wrong people and due to my vulnerability I easily got hurt. I was also living with my uncle who..well to put it in the nicest way...isn't the kindest person in the world. I made the decision to move out and I have finally got my life back on track.

My advice to others who are suffering, for whatever reason, is to not ignore the problem. I went on medication, attended cognitive behavioural therapy and did some voluntary work. Now I am going to University to study Mental Health Nursing. None of this would have happened if I had of continued to ignore my problems.

So I am back. I have always been around, watching people but not getting involved because I still needed to repair myself. Now I have come out of it the other side I would like to help others. If anybody needs any advice on anything don't hesitate to ask.

Remember...your past does not define you! :) It's what's in your heart and how you treat others. This picture sums it up:

Much love :) <3

I've seen posts by you, but I've never interacted with you until today. I agree completely with what you are saying: if you are suffering in anyway, then that is a warning that something is wrong, and it must not be ignored. You definitely have take care of yourself first before helping others- being a "wounded healer" will only make things worse for all parties involved.

Welcome back. :)

Hello, fellow Audrey Hepburn fan! ^ I love the above quote so much. Keep up that determination, keep the courage and keep staying kind to yourself. I hope that we'll be able to help you, as much as you seem willing to help those on the forum.

Welcome back!!!!!!

I remember you, too. Welcome back. I believe it was one of your posts that a google search brought up that brought me here.

I agree, the past does not define you. Neither does your current circumstance :)
