So i accepted a new position at the company. They have changed the technicalities of my responsibilities and duties every single week in the entire 12 weeks I've been in the position. then they finally said "ok here's the final change" and it was something outrageously different than what I signed up for, and basically a job a monkey could do. So I said "Awesome. I quit. Hire a monkey"

i've already applied a few places, and i have some good contacts.

yeah pretty much, ramen & bologna for a few weeks. But goddammit, I don't have to put up with those shit heads anymore.
i think I might go back to bartending for a while. The money isn't bad, and it activates my Se. Maybe it'll be a bit of excitement after 3 years of boredom.
I find that when I'm miserable at work, my home life suffers for it. Now that I love my job, I'm happy in general. Find something you enjoy! It will probably improve everything else.

Been there, done that. You needed this. You were getting bored. Unemployment sucks yeah, but that's the time to reflect on what is better for you than what you had previously. I'm no psychic but I predict your life is going to be much better suited to who you are in the next "chapter". 
I laughed when I saw the comment about the monkey comment since the exact words "good, go hire a monkey!" came out of my mouth today too. But I have to echo the comments about enjoying your work. There have been observed mental and biological benefits of leaving a job you utterly hate. Bravo on the manner you did it in!

I was an employment specialist. I sat at a desk and made phone calls, did business to business sales, and student job counseling services.
