I am a neurotic unicorn who is obsessed with humans. My condition has deteriorated into multiple personalities and I have used my powers to create an alternate me in human form that haunts the castle in search of the human love of her life. Since it is my imagination that has created the human form ghost, I can take the form of a man or a woman and read the minds of the humans to appear as they desire.

So everyone in the castle always feels as if they are being watched and also have a relationship with this beautiful/handsome person they know, but no one else seems to know them. Anyone who allows themselves to get close to me have the gift of being healed by my powers.

Oh yeah, and the forester is on to me. Because he is an INFJ, he can sense the same essence in both the unicorn in the woods and the person he knows from the castle.

seems I am the only one so far
I'm a maiden, but I'm rather ruddy-complexioned. And I smell of hops. The alcoholics really dig me.

<stop dancing in the middle of a dervish twirl>

What is that freaking racket disturbing my ecstasy?!?

<goes to look out of one of the observatory windows>

Since I'm so use to gazing at the stars, I couldn't help but gaze in the distance. What in the hell is that in the FAR distance about to enter the forest?! It looks ridiculous! I don't like the look of this. I'd better start drawing up charts to see what this could mean for our kingdom....
Oh shit! I forgot to tell anyone else in the castle about this!

<runs to let others know what she saw>

*Yeah, I quoted myself. I was busy re-running the scenario in my head when I realized I never left the observatory and warned anyone else. he he

I'd be the scullery maid.

That's right, the maid...you can all be noble and magic, but someone needs to keep this castle and the community from falling apart. I'm everyone dogs body, I run errands, fetching everyone magical items, materials, bring meals to peoples private sanctuaries. I take messages to people, peel vegetables, and generally deal with the day to day issues, like feeding the castle cat, making sure the castle is full of books, and telling the huntsman who he is expected to kill.

I sleep in the kitchens in front of the stove, and have a very practical deminor. I find everyone’s romantic leaning highly frustrating, while secretly dreaming I am a princess kidnapped and brought here by the queen, or that a prince would rescue me from my boring life. Despite knowing I am utterly ordinary, of course. Such dreams are foolish nonsense for one such as I, of lowly birth.

I'd wear simple clothes, long brown or grey skirts with a lacy petticoat underneath, frilly aprons with lots of pockets. I just blend into the walls and am able to go anywhere. I carry a large bag full of useful items or things I am bringing to people. I always carry a book on me to read between tasks, and a wooden spoon for hinting foolish romantics when they spends so long up in the clouds or engaged in a project they forget to eat or wash. (I’m looking at you Merlin, a man too lazy to wear trousers is a bad signin this regard.)

I think I will marry the stable boy, even though I don't really want to and he smells of horse. It's just the practical thing to do, and I always do the practical thing (the stable boys views are imaterial of course, I just expect he'd want to, as I don't smell of horse. I smell of soap.), even though I’d quite like to do frivolous or romantic things. I am just lacking in opportunity. I’d like to find true love, but the closest I have to it is my relationship to the castle cat, who is very fond of me, and keeps giving me dead mice.

While I think everyone is a bit silly, I get very caught up in their stories and personal struggles. I listen at doors, and oooh and aaah over what goes on. I always keep a secret, so I am easy to confide in or scheme to, and I know a lot about life, from all my reading, ease-dropping and running errands for magic users.

I am not quite the simply country lass everyone expects. Not that anyone but the cat will ever know.

Seamstress here. Surrounded by bolts of colored silks for the ladies. Why does Dalien insist on ruby red shoes? The poppy red will clash terribly...
A fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson, "The Red Shoes".

Hans Christian Andersen : The Red Shoes :: www.andersen.sdu.dk :: The Hans Christian Andersen Center

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Shoes_(fairy_tale)

Clarissa Pinkola Estes used this story in her book, "Women Who Run With The Wolves~~Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype". She took the story creating more detail and analyzed it in detail. From Estes book, "The symbol of shoes can be understood as a psychological metaphor; they protect and defend what we stand on~~our feet." (pg. 221, p 3) " Life and sacrifice go together. Red is the color of life and of sacrifice. To live a vibrant life, we must make sacrifices of various sorts." (pg. 221, p 4)

What better way to rejoice from learning such a valuable lesson than to put on a pair of red shoes and dance without vanity? Not to worry, red shoes can go with anything one wants them to. I only said red shoes...didn't specify a specific shade of red. So, please let them be red~~any shade will do.

Am I the only one irritated by the lack of rational / realistic responses? I guess I was expecting something different... :|

We could have ruled the world, you and I. :p
Why can't we rule the world and still have imagination and laughter?

We can rule the world with imagination and laugher, but can't we have imagination and laughter with the world we already have?

Can we not use our imaginations to bend reality to our will?

Can we not find ways to make each other laugh, and have a good time?

What an imagination! What a coupe de grace~~ending the reality of the world as we know it through imagination and laughter! Pray tell how on earth would we unite people to do this? The bitter, the money hungry, the ugly, the power mongers, the etc......what would make them all laugh enough to use their imagination for peace and harmony?

PS Opps! I went off the deep end! I'm swimming back up! I still haven't heard who is going to be the wise one to figure out how to beat the Trojan Horse in our Kingdom...wait a minute...I think it should be John Athix!!!!!!

We show them how they can have what they wish, without harming those they (Unknowingly, IMO) care about. Show them how they can have the feeling of power, by using the power of imagination. Show them how life has ups, as well as downs, and how to help others when they need it, so that they can do the same when we need it.

As for the Trojan Horse, how did we even come to war? Why did we not show them that we can be different, yet the same in so many ways... Should it have come to a Trojan Horse, however, I would recommend that we host a large event, for both sides, to bring us ALL together for fun and laughter, while we are still alive to experience it.

(No worries about going into the deep end, for that is where many beauties hide.)

We show them, yes! But, how do we make them drink from calm waters? We teach our children would be a good place to start. Will all follow the lead? Oh how I wish! I taught my children the wisdom you speak of. Take a look around...what do you really see? Damn, I wish with all my might that I had the answers to cause people to follow!

Ahhhh...cast a magical spell! I say we start with laughter! We all know when there is laughter there is that natural dopamine high! Whew! Glad we got that all straightened out!

Oh, yeah, you got it! A huge feast! They come rolling out of the belly of the beast and we are all dancing in our red shoes (yes red of many shades) and our enemies can't help but to join us! Fantastically absolutely wonderlific!
