Hello personality cafe members! After lurking around here for a ridiculous amount of time, I decided I wanted to fully participate in this (usually) intriguing dialogue about personality... yay!
I thought I was an enfp most of my adult life, and recently decided to *really* delve into that because I haven't felt that it was a match for some time... I know other enfps and I didn't necessarily feel that I was the same type as them, ultimately... i didn't think i was an "i" and i definitely didn't think i was a "j", but after researching quite a bit... infj seems to fit. I think! Has anybody else had such major shifts in the type they identified with over time? I'd be curious to hear your stories...
Another impetus for delving further into this is that I recently got married to a man who is very different from me, an isfp, I think! We struggle to "get" each other very often, which of course leads to conflict. Mind you, he's also from another country (we live in Canada and I'm from here) and not a native English speaker, so that adds to the mix!
Anyhoo - just wanted to say hello!
