Loneliness

She said,
"Loneliness made me do it."
As she got in his car
As she walked in the bar
As she made brand new scars
And the world understood
Having been there before
So they all teamed together
Then chanting the lore.

Loneliness made them do it,
In the same way a gun
Puts your hand on its trigger.

"Coincidence"

Don't just think it's by chance
'Less you've witnessed the process
Many things that seem easy
Never started as perfect.
Many times, it's not worth it.
Something you'll rarely know
Just assume, save the trouble
And let the dread go.

Let Me In

Let me meet your closest friends--
The ones you most care for--
So I can see what they love about you,
And get to know you more.

Let me see what you think of me,
The patterns you’ve observed.
Share your deepest ideas of life,
And don’t always be so reserved.

Let me understand how you’re feeling
Even when life’s not so great.
Don’t be afraid to express who you are.
For my support you won’t have to wait.

Let me tag along with you
On every escapade,
Because the most exciting adventures
Are when the best bonds are made.

Let me learn your favorite songs,
And who you are within.
We can sing along together,
If only you’ll let me in.

Not entirely happy with the last stanza, but thought I’d share anyway

An empaths soul
No longer whole
But torn apart
Like ravaged foal

Its dust was spread
The cosmos fed
And all the world
Had thought him dead

But life had sprung
From people’s dung
Both Nobel heart
And pure of lung

Thus care he did
While others hid
This broken boy
Who’s fate was bid

Will you be my sadness, sweet?
My anguish, and my weary feet?
Will you--
remember me
my home?
Be brave enough
to go alone?

Here's modified version of the original poem I wrote in my signature. I engineered each line with precise calculations to adhere to hidden meanings and Alternate perspectives. See if you can figure out its mysteries. There are plenty.

STARDUST

I say sweet dreams to the one

Sleeping with the setting sun.

For in the depths, eyes are closed

Her imagination ebbs and flows;

Colors growing for life and love

As written in the stars above.

A story strung from words to come

Made of fragments better sung.

Veiling from the kiss good night

So too are devils to bend the light;

Angels stricken with a cross to bear

Brightly enflamed with what is theirs.

RIP Mike... we love you

I have been blown away by two books of poetry recently.

Salt by Nayyirah Waheed

Seeds Planted in Concrete by Bianca Sparacino‎

Anyone else like these?

"Scared"

I'm scared of losing.
I'm never scared of what I'd lose.
There's a big difference.
I'm wishing you could see that, too.

If I could put my finger on the things that go through my mind,
Then maybe I could explain moreso what's trapped inside.

Trifles and jesters dance their songs
With innuendo flying the skies
While upon the below a mellow of mirth
Sways to and fro of contemplation
A faddle to tickle the human ear
Fiðla and Vitula a lively intertwine
Much ado of the seasonings’ spice
Factotums of animation and mind juggles
Flipping the dictionary discipline scolds stiffly
And the familial bairn smiles the while
A cursive printing upon its pages
And the fiddle lends their hand to the violin
Then the water’s dance dances

My God, you're getting extraordinaire! I especially like the lightheartednes and exuberance, but genuinely. Very nice!

Wow! I’ve never had such a reaction to one of my poems before! Thank you!

Some ideas for a song maybe, just wrote them down now:

Every man has the right to achieve his dreams
To rise above mediocrity and become a hero
Draw the sword from the stone and drench it in light
A symphony of colour makes the Muses gather around you
You are who you are, and no knave will consume your spirit
Embrace your destiny and become immortal

My Haiku got a little dark

Dread consumes my whole
Staring into Satans Soul
I perceive his fear

And now to lighten the mood with some self deprecation

I sing so lovely
Feeling sweet chords in my throat
A dog howls in pain!

Feelings

I was never amazed by more of the same.
Definition of jaded, I will take that name.
Stuck my nose up at those who I agreed to fuck.
Knew in my mind that anything after was bunk.
And yet I couldn't stop, since I wanted to feel.
Their hands on my body at least faked that zeal.
They would call after -- say, "When can we meet again?"
One guy took me to dinner just to play pretend.
Others were so confused, didn't know lust from love.
Never met sans the bed but they'd bitch for a hug.
And I'd say -- though not in such a strict nanny way --
That I wasn't their shrink; not even for good pay.
Of course, they were okay.
They just gave it a day.
As for me,
I thought my heart was turning to stone.
Sometimes I'm scared it did and I somehow don't know.
I even told a guy I loved him and lied.
In my defense, I thought that I had at the time.
Now I'm feeling things that were lost for many years.
And I hope it means something, so as to spare tears.
I don't care whether or not it turns more serious.
I just want a chance to know what mom experienced.
